A tortoiseshell and ivory tea caddy, initialled, 19 cm wide Condition report Report by GHLacking two of its turned feet. Tortoiseshell on the top lifting on both sides, and various other pieces lifting. No obvious major losses though. Generally dirty and in need of a clean and renovation. internally both compartments with remnants of their original foil linings. Various small cracks to the ivory surrounding the underside of the lid and where it meets the main body of the box. Generally in original, unmolested saleroom fresh condition.

An oak eight day longcase clock, signed Samuel Whalley, Manchester, circa 1750, caddied pediment, walnut crossbanded trunk door, 12-inch arched brass dial, arch with moonphase and signed above, seconds dial and date aperture, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, possibly a later case, 225cm high14.09.16, Later caddy, small pieces of moulding missing to the hood, small cracks to the base, later feet, wooden cheeks have been added to the inside of the case, possibly a later case, dial and movement are clean, with two weights and a pendulum.

Hinge positions have been altered at some stage. Numerous other minor damages. Caddy - Condition similar to box.

A Regency tortoiseshell tea caddy, 19cm wide Slight damages to veneer on front and back left angles of lid. Slight loss to inset panel on lid. Slight damage to wire on front centre of lid. One hinge incomplete. One compartment lid lacking and other probably replaced. Two small veneer losses to compartment covers. Small areas of damage to wire on reverse of caddy. Further small veneer loss to front right edge of caddy lid.

Lid almost detached at hinges. Slope lacking fabric surface. Chip to pen tray. Chips and losses to base rim. Wear to gilding. Scratching to underside of base. Rectangular box - with pronounced cracquelure to lid surface. Lid detached and hinges damaged. Chipping to base angles. Other minor faults. Caddy shaped box - With considerable wear to decoration on lid. Chips to two angles. Lid detached from base and with associated damages. Damages to base rim. Other minor wear.

An Elizabeth II hallmarked silver pin dish embossed with fête champêtre scene, Cooper Bros & sons, Sheffield 1971, 11.5 x 7cm, a silver handled magnifying glass, Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1914, and a scent bottle cap, also a German pseudo-Hanau silver tea caddy, a sterling topped two piece cruet set, a silver plated pill box/pin cushion, and a frame, weighable silver approx 2ozt.

An 18th century oak and crossbanded longcase clock, the moulded caddy top above 11" square dial set with silvered chapter ring inscribed "Sam LL Whalley Manchester" with thirty hour movement, arched door and plinth base, reduced, height 204cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement and dial is associated to the case, extensive damage to the case, repainted sections, repainted frieze, repainted upper and lower sections to the columns, veneer and crossbanding missing. A restoration project.

THOMAS LISTER OF LUDDENDON; a mid 18th century oak cased thirty hour longcase clock with caddy top above square brass face with circular chapter ring set with Roman numerals and dated aperture, flanked with two turned columns above single door on plinth base and bracket feet, height approx 220cm. CONDITION REPORT: Weights and pendulum present.
