A collection of 20th century Chinese Asian decorative boxes and pieces. The collection to include a mother of pearl tea caddy, with silver tone metal binding, a paper mache box with floral decoration to top and sides. Also to include a Chinese jewellery casket with brass foliate riveted decoration to top and sides, opening to reveal an appointed interior, alongside two carved wall blocks.
A George III engraved silver ova tea caddy, by Thomas Daniell, decorated with garlands and two oval cartouches, one with entwined hearts, London, 1779, width 12.4cm, 12.9oz, no key.***CONDITION REPORT***Small dent to the front either side of the key hole. Another dent to the side. There appears to be an old repair around the whole circumference of the vacant cartouche (visible on the interior). Some mild wear to the decoration in places and minor surface scratches in places, all commensurate with age and some use. Mild tarnishing in places. Hallmarks clear on base. Maker's mark rubbed on the hinged cover. Finial not hallmarked. Width as stated. A Victorian silver mounted blond tortoiseshell tea caddy of octagonal form with loop handle and scrollwork decoration, the interior with single lid and later silver caddy spoon, 11.5cm wide, 8cm deep, 9cm highSlightly faded condition and will benefit from the application of baby oil to improve the lustre and a polish to the silver which is a little rubbed, one small maker's mark on the silver mount to the left end but apparently not hallmarked, original lock fitted but no key. Internal lid with a short section of veneer missing to one side, interior with remnants of foiling.

A Regency mother of pearl inset tortoiseshell sarcophagus tea caddy with dense floral decoration to the lid and front, ivory banded interior with two tortoiseshell canisters and probably the original cut glass mixing bowl, on ivory ball feet, 32cm wide, 17cm deep, 18.5cm high CITES Submission reference 8Z5Z2L6BOverall in good condition, tortoiseshell slightly dusty and dull, one small chip to the front top edge of the lid, otherwise tiny nicks to one or two of the edges, interior with probably original red velvet lining, right hand canister is made from rosewood and the lid now comes loose, bears a label to the underside of that lid for F L Hausburg Goldsmith and Jeweller of Liverpool, the other canister fully intact, both with remnants of their original silver foil lining, lock original but lacks a key, feet with some slight splitting, underside with original blue finish and trace of what looks to of been a later label.
