A 19th century Chinese black lacquer and gilt decorated display or shop tea caddy with decorated pewter liner, 33cms wide.Condition ReportThe gilt decoration band is rubbed away on both leading edge corners of the top, and central images rubbed away in several areas, the lacquer is slit in several areas around the edges of the lid and several small chips, the main body of the case has several small chips and there are some areas where the lacquer has cracked.  Both carrying handles are worn.
