The hinges are detached but access cannot be gained. There are cracks to the veneer next to one hinge. There are corner chips to the cover. Larghe flat veneer chips to the underside of the cover rim. Some slight lifting to the stringing. Veneer losses to the lower edge of the main body.

A 19th-century mahogany sarcophagus tea caddy, featuring twin compartments with brass hinged, beveled lids, a glass mix bowl, silver plated hallmarked spoon, and two hanging rings. Tea caddy exterior featuring two carved handles, raised on bun feet, a brass-hinged lid, and a brass lock to the front. Measuring approx. 20cm x 33cm x 17cm.
