George III Prattware tea caddy, decorated in relief with "Macaroni" figures, circa 1790 and bearing label beneath "Prestonpans". Height 6 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The lid has had professional restoration. This is evident at the narrow point of the neck and around the edge of the piece. The restoration is good. The base itself is in very good order with no repairs and no restoration. There are some minor scuffs to the top edge of the caddy but other than this no significant issues.

A George V silver tea caddy, oval and with spoon to underside of lid, Birmingham 1931,178 grams. Width 3.25 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The caddy is in generally extremely good condition. There are two very small dents to the left hand side of the body which would easily rectify. The hallmarks to the front of the piece are rubbed but legible. The interior hallmark is clear. The spoon is in good order with legible hallmarks. There are no engravings.

It does not require any repairs or restoration and could be used or resold in its current condition without the need for any work.

CONDITION REPORT: The caddy is in generally good condition and does not require and restoration. There is evidence of some very old repairs to the crossbanding particularly on the front left and right hand corners of the caddy. There is also old crossbanding repairs above the rear hinges. These are perfectly acceptable. The interior is in generally good condition. There are no interior caddies. The lock appears to be later but does work and we do have the key. There is no evidence that the caddy has ever had feet.
