A silver bowl, John Edward Bingham (Walker and Hall) Sheffield 1887, engraved with ferns and lily of the valley and with inscribed cartouche for Edith M Critchley 1887, 9 cm diameter, a silver caddy spoon, George Maudsley Jackson, London 1895, having a shell shaped bowl 8 cm long, an early 20th century silver topped and etched glass dressing table pot with its marks rubbed and a silver solifleur vase, height 8.5 cm and 19 cm respectively (4).
A Victorian mahogany bookcase, with caddy top above a series of open shelves, the base fitted with two drawers above a pair of panelled cupboard doors and all raised on a plinth. Width 122.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The bookcase is in extremely good condition. It has an excellent colour and good patination. The top half is in first class condition. The base has a minor crossbanded veneer loss to the right hand return. The top surface is in very good condition as are both sides. The doors close as they should and are not warped. The drawers are in good condition as is the plinth base. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
A collection of silver, to include; A George III silver ladle, by Edinburgh 1804; A Victorian silver spoon and fork set, London 1878, A Victorian silver cigarette case, Birmingham 1898, of gently curved cross section, having bright cut decoration with gilt interior; An early 20th century Russian silver caddy spoon, of shovel form, the bowl with bright cut back, stamped 1908-17 national mark for 84 zolotniks; A George III baleen and silver toddy ladle, by George Knight, London 1822, of oval form with gadrooned rim and wrythen baleen handle, length 38cm., and; A silver plated hip flask.
