A rare George III rectangular tortoiseshell tea caddy embossed to all four sides with a basketwork pattern between concave and rounded corners, the lid with a raised central rectangle with a steel urn finial, the whole raised on steel ball feet, width 11.2cm. Condition Report: There are lots of bits of damage. The worst is the front left hand side of the lid and two missing side elements from the upper edge when open. We believe the silver to be original. The lid interior is present, it is wooden with the same veneer. There is no key.
