CONDITION REPORT: Tortoiseshell shows age cracking on the front curved edge of the cover, and right hand side of lower base.Several losses to the cover, visible at the corners, with associated losses.Small losses to the metalwork banding at the cover. Small losses to the edge corners at the cover, showing green pigment beneath. Fading to the interior. Small loss and fractures to the corners of the interior lids. Foil lacking and badly degraded.
