A George III brass inlaid ebonised wood tea caddy, 19th century, of rectangular form with canted corners, the lid with elaborate foliate brass inlay and vacant plaque, the escutcheon similarly inlaid, opening to reveal a twin compartment interior, each compartment with a lid, a key present with the lot, 11.7cm x 23.4cm x 11.8cm Overall in poor condition with some damages. Some losses to the external veneer at the base of each corner, a couple of large cracks to the canted edges, some tarnishing to the brass inlay, hinges functional, general surface marks and scratches throughout.
