Lehmann Germany circa 1910 tinplate Tea Caddy comprising 2 standing/walking figures with patterned shirt, red trousers, and a black hat, the figures carry a Tea Chest that is propelled via a clockwork mechanism, it is operated by pulling a wound string, comes complete with the tinplate string puller, the tea chest has various Chinese City names to each end, it is in very good condition for its age, and in good working order
A matched four-piece George III silver tea set, including a tea caddy; oval with foliate bright cut borders and vacant shield shaped cartouches; the teapot with 'c' scroll fruit wood handle and oval knop; the tea caddy similar; all with gilt interiors; the lockable tea caddy with key. The teapot and tea caddy London 1794 by Robert Hennell; the cream jug and sugar basin, London 1796 and 1800 by Robert and David Hennell. Together with a matched pair of sugar tongs, also bright cut engraved. London 1794, maker's mark indistinct. Gross weight. 44.80 ozt.
A George III satinwood and parquetry inlaid two-section tea caddy with a large sand-shaded fan burst motif to the moulded top, opening to reveal a fitted interior with a false bottom containing a note of provenance giving a date of origin of 1816, 25 cm long x 15.5 cm deep x 16 cm overall height. Together with a 19th century turned treen lignum string box with bladed knop finial and slight domed cover over a concave moulded foot. 14 cm diameter x 20 cm high. A George III brass inlaid ebonised wood tea caddy, 19th century, of rectangular form with canted corners, the lid with elaborate foliate brass inlay and vacant plaque, the escutcheon similarly inlaid, opening to reveal a twin compartment interior, each compartment with a lid, a key present with the lot, 11.7cm x 23.4cm x 11.8cm Overall in poor condition with some damages. Some losses to the external veneer at the base of each corner, a couple of large cracks to the canted edges, some tarnishing to the brass inlay, hinges functional, general surface marks and scratches throughout.
