A mahogany mantel clock, by Broderick, Peterborough, the mahogany and brass case of architectural form, with brass ring handles, on ball feet, the white enamelled dial with Roman numeral chapter ring, the movement with single fusee and pendulum, with a key, 27.5cm highProvenance: The clocks in the following lots were purchased from various retailers by the Late Sir Anthony Hilgrove Hammond KCB. Educated at Cambridge University he held various posts of importance in Government including Procurator General and treasury Solicitor in 1997. He was also the Standing Council for the Synod of the Church of England between 2000-2013.
