A late 19th century Gorge-cased carriage clock with grande sonnerie striking on two bells and alarm feature, white enamel dial with matched blued steel French moon hands, original platform lever escapement with silvered finish, good cast brass case with glazed, bevelled panels including a full size glazed panel to show the escapement, with 2 keys. 18cm tall, back panel plate inscribed 414 lower left, Est £800 to £1200Condition report: clock is ticking however a service is needed as the movement is generally dirty. Strike does not sound correctly as one hammer appears out of position on its arbor; possible the large bell is a replacement and so obstructs the rear hammer. Dial is good though has a faint hairline from 11 o'clock to 3 o'clock and another on the alarm dial. All glasses appear in good condition.
An early 20th century desk compendium of clock and barometer, both with oval white enamel dials, cast-brass cases mounted on a turned central column with carrying ring. 15cm tall.Estimate £50 to £80Condition report: the brass is overall tarnished, bevelled glasses are both in good condition, the clock dial has several cracks to the edges, barometer dial is very good and has a maker's mark (untraced), movements are untested however the clock has a replacement escapement which is damaged, not working.
A 12 inch dial clock, the painted dial with Roman numerals and scribed Thos Howard Thos Howard 157 Kirkdale Road Liverpool (listed as working 1851 to 1881), single chain fusee movement stamped with manufacturer's mark, mahogany backbox and turned surround, opening glazed brass bezel, with pendulum and key, the clock is believed to originate from the from the Cunard Building on Liverpool Waterfront and was acquired by a former employee, Est £200 to £300.
An early 20th century Westminster chiming table clock, dark stained mahogany case, surmounted by a finial, arched silvered dial behind glazed door, quality 3-train movement unmarked but probably English, sounding on a nest of coiled gongs, with case key, winding key and pendulum - Estimate £50 to £80Condition: Movement looks clean though needs a service. Dial is very worn so needs repainting. Minute hand is missing. Case will need cleaning and polishing. Lock on front door is operated by the key, rear door lock is a little loose though should be same key.
