Flint Charing' (1733-1793), the matted gold dial with chamfered date aperture at six and silvered subsidiary seconds dial at twelve, pierced gilt hands, brass Roman numeral chapter ring with foliate scroll spandrels, the strung mahogany case with barbed arched top with barleytwist columns, over a trunk with canted corners, raised on bracket feet, 82¬in. (209cm.) high.
