A late 19c English double fusee wall clock in 'Boardroom' type case with built in wall bracket. The movement is chain driven and strikes on a bell and has an 8in diam flat white dial and cast bezel with flat glass. The mahogany case has a flat wooden outer bezel and carved corner decorations sitting on the flat wall shelf which is supported by two scrolling brackets. The clock is 16in tall overall.
A mid 19c English double fusee bracket clock by Dent of 33 Cockspur St, London with chain driven movement, rack striking on a gong. It has a silver pointed arch dial engraved with foliage and having Roman numerals and bearing the makers name in the arch. It is contained in a Gothic design walnut case with pointed arch top and four tier fluted columns flanking the dial. A similar shorter column sits on the apex of the arch and is connected to the side columns by a Gothic fretwork. The case sides have arched panels of timber fretwork and the rear door gas a metal sound grille. It is complete with its original wall bracket in walnut with a scrolling and carved central support. Height of clock minus bracket 25.5in tall.
A late 19c German mantel clock with two train movement striking the hours and halves on a gong. The round topped dial is silvered with bright silvered embossed patterns on a matt ground and has black arabic numerals. It is contained in a mahogany lancet shaped case with fan inlays above and below the dial and boxwood stringing around its front panels. The plinth base has wooden bun feet and the rear door has a metal sound grille. The clock stands 17in tall overall.
A mid 19c French mantel clock the countwheel striking movement signed Leroy et Fils and numbered silk pendulum suspension and a 3.5in diam. silvered dial with Roman numerals. It is contained in a rectangular case of yellow Jaune brocatelle marble with bronze brass mounts and surmounted by a bronzed brass urn. The clock stands 14.5in tall overall.
A late 19c German novelty clock in the form of a globe mounted on a stand supported by four pillars. The globe in 4in in diameter and has the arabic numerals attached to it. Above and to one side are two cherubs with butterfly nets (one missing) and the single train movement has a free swinging pendulum, the bob of which is also globe shaped. The metalwork items are bronzed and the base and top panels of the stand are of stained wood. The clock stands 12in tall overall.
An early 20c French mantel clock, the balloon shaped Art Nouveau case having a silver front panel embossed with foliage and hallmarked for 1909. This is attached to a mahogany case with nickel plated bun feet and the circular single train movement has a cylinder platform escapement and a 3.5in diam white dial with arabic numerals. The clock stands 12in tall.
A late18c French boullework bracket clock which has suffered a catastrophic fall and is now in many pieces. These have been carefully retained by the owner and we show two photographs, one of the case as now and one as before. The clock is signed G.J. Champion, A Paris on the back plate and has countwheel strike on a gong and the 10in diam. dial has blue enamel numeral plaques on a gilt background. The movement and dial seem relatively undamaged, but the case will need long and painstaking restoration. Clock 30in tall without wall bracket.
A late 19c French 'four glass' clock, the circular movement having a mercury compensated pendulum and rack striking on a gong. It is contained in a glazed gilt brass case with blue ground and having a bulbous top of matching enamel surmounted by a gilt urn similarly decorated. The pendulum and dial bezel are similarly decorated and the gilt dial has arabic numerals and an enamel centre. The case has four free standing rope twist columns to its corners with turned finials and paw feet. The clock stands 17.5in tall.
