A Green & Palethorpe Grantham 8 day long case clock, contained in an oak case with mahogany inlay and cross banding, swan neck to hood with reeded columns, with 8 day movement, striking on a bell, 12" arch dial approx with convex shape raised, 88" high x 19" wide approx.William Palethorpe recorded in Gratham in 1824 to 1836. Several clockmaker with the name Green working in Grantham at that time but does not appear to be recorded as working together with PalethorpeCondition reportPoor condition, will need restoration, base of case looks to have been reduced, no weights. Movement not tested.
