A late 19c lantern clock with single fusee movement, the chapter ring signed John Fordham, Dunmow, no.132. The lacquered brass case has an overhanging chapter ring and serpentine steel hands and is surmounted by three dolphin frets and a bell supported on straps. The movement has a passing strike on the bell, 15 tall overall.
A late 19c Black Forest wall clock with wooden framed 30 hour movement with steel arbors and brass wheels countwheel striking on a gong. It is contained in a rectangular case with glazed front covering a reverse painted dial with a rural scene above the white dial which has Roman numerals. The dial has a broad water-gilt surround and the base of the case has a vette eglomise panel below the dial. The case top is surmounted by a castellated frieze and the clock has brass chains, two sacking-covered weights and a brass pendulum, the clock 18 tall overall.
A late 19c French carriage clock with two train movement with silvered platform escapement and striking on a gong. The rectangular white enamel dial has Roman numerals and is contained in a glazed brass case with fluted columns to the corners with Corinthian capitals and with a cast brass Greek key style carrying handle, 7.25 tall overall (handle raised).
A late 18c eight day longcase clock by Peter Hunter of Allon, the 13 arched brass dial having a silvered and engraved dial centre with scroll and urn spandrels and a strike silent lever in the arch. It has unmatched steel hands and seconds and date indicators. The movement is of standard construction having anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell. It is contained in a mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood with a central finial and fluted freestanding columns flanking the dial. The long trunk door has a wavy top and a boxwood edge line inlay and is flanked by fluted quarter columns. There is a rectangle of chequer inlay above the door and the quarter columns have line inlay below them. The base has canted corners and a rectangle of line inlay with indented corners and a wavy plinth, 86 tall overall.
A mid 18c eight day longcase clock, the 12 arched brass dial signed Robert Pyle, Newport and having a matted centre and female head spandrels. It has unmatched steel hands and date and seconds indicators. The movement is of standard construction with rack striking and anchor escapement and is now housed in a later plain oak case. The hood is flat topped and has plain columns attached to the door. The long trunk door has a lenticle glass and chamfered edges and the base is plain with a solid skirting, 81.5 tall.
A 20c carriage clock, the white rectangular dial signed Charles Frodsham, London and having Roman numerals and moon hands. The two train movement has a lever platform escapement and strikes on a bell. It is contained in a glazed brass corniche style case with cast carrying handle, 6.75 tall overall (handle raised).
An early 20c English fusee dial clock, the 12 flat dial signed with the retailers name Luther French, 227 Hoe Street and having Roman numerals and spade hands. The movement has a chain fusee and is stamped 'Salisbury' on the backplate. It is contained in a stained mahogany case with bottom and side doors and has a spun brass bezel, 14.5 diam overall.
A mid 19c French mantel clock in rectangular rosewood case with boxwood inlay and ebonised mouldings. The case has a top glass and cast brass carrying handle and a slide to remove the front glass and allow access to the dial. The silvered dial has been crudely repainted and bears the engraved name Henry a Paris. The two train movement is countwheel striking on a bell and has silk pendulum suspension. The backplate is stamped Henry a Paris, the clock stands 9.5 tall overall.
A late 19c French carriage clock in glazed brass case with outswept base and reeded cast handle. The movement is intended to have 'petit sonnerie' quarter striking and repeating and it has an alarm, but some lifting pieces have been removed preventing it from striking. It has a silvered lever platform escapement and a gilt mask with cream chapter ring and alarm set dial, 7.5 tall overall.
