William IV General Post Office, Dublin, mail-coach clock. An early 19th century brass and mahogany cased carriage clock by Edward Smith, Dublin, the brass front centred by a white enamel signed dial, engraved above the dial ' No. - WR - 32 - General Post Office - Edward Smith - Dublin'. 4.50 by 3.25 by 1.75in. (11.4 by 8.3 by 4.4cm) In good condition. Back plate missing. Rust coloured stain to the interior of the glass. Small rust-coloured stain to the centre of the dial. Not running. Escapement wheel turning freely. Rust on steel components.
