A Continental figural and flower encrusted porcelain clock, late 19th/ early 20th century, Roman numeral decorated white enamel dial within Rococo style case having pierced scrolling edges, the front decorated with landscape scene and figures and overall flower encrusted, raised on five feet the front three scrolling, 47cm high.
A silver desk stand, Birmingham c.1891, of rococo style, raised on three ball feet and supporting a glass bottle with silver collar, approx 13.5cm together with a silver pin dish inset with a one rupee coin dated 1840, a silver double photograph frame,a modern triangular clock, a mother of pearl frame clock, a medalion, a plated paper weight and a small shell form plated vase, approx gross silver weight 4.9oz. Together with the transcripts of telegrams to Flight Lieutenant Booth and Group Captain Fellows, sent on behalf H.M. The King and from the Air Ministry etc, offering congratulations on their skill in handling and returning the R.33 to base. GC An interesting Lot. See Plate 2 Note: On the night of 16/17th April 1925 R33 was ripped from her mast during a gale; some five hours after the initial break from the mast, the R33 was under control but still being blown towards the Continent. As the airship approached the Dutch coast the R33 was ordered to land at Cologne where the Germans could assist. Late in the evening the R33 was able to hold her position over the Dutch coast, hovering there until 5 o’clock the next morning. She was then able to make her way back home, arriving at the Suffolk coast eight hours later and making Pulham at 13:50 hrs where she was put into the shed. For their actions, the crew were rewarded by the King with the presentation of watches and the coxswain, Sergeant “Sky” Hunt, was awarded the Air Force Medal, which he insisted should be awarded to the crew as a whole.

The arch and spandrels decorated with foliate design. Eight day movement. In plain oak case on bracket feet, three quarter engaged pillars to arched hood. Weights, pendulum and key in office.
