The movement is original to the dial but associated with the case. It is in working condition ticking and striking correctly, it has an unusual striking mechanism where it strikes the hours on a large bell and also strikes the hours at half past on a smaller bell.

Both springs on the time and strike sides are working.  It has its original cylinder escapement which is ticking. The movement would strike the hours and half hours as it does set up ready to strike. Doesnt seem to set up after the scheduled strike. The aperture on the top of the case is 35mm diameter.

The glass from the back door is missing and the hinge is broken.

There is a tiny chip to the top corner of the back door glass, no other damaged panels. No cracks, chips, or restoration to the dial. the movement is complete, the balance wheel isn't rotating but the staff isn't damaged. The strike and repeat mechanism is working but not striking the correct hours. Can't see any makers marks.

The dial has fine stress cracks and some discolouration to the silvering. The movement, which is original to case and dial, has been converted from verge to anchor escapment and is ticking but the strike isn't stopping sand will need attention.

There's a very small line on the surface of the dial in the right top corner but it's not scratched, the case is also in very good condition with no damage, there are some fingernail marks to the back of the case around the hand setting knob consistant with age. No damage to the glass panels.

A PARIS 1735' fronting a signed eight-day spring driven movement striking the hours on a bell.35cm highA very nice original clock, the case has its original gilt finish, which has slight pitting and wear to the edges and base of the elephant. the drumhead top gilding has warn away. The movement is loose to the case but is complete and ticks and strikes the hours correctly when wound, but we cannot guarantee mechanical movements. the clock has its pendulum and there are small chips around the winding holes and small damage to the edge of the dial next to 9 o'clock. There is a missing screw that holds the clock to the elephant's back.

The case has some detached mouldings above the door which are present. The movement is running and striking the correct hours, repeating the correct quarters. The back cock looks to have been replaced and the strike silent lever is missing. The verge escapement has probably been reconverted but if so has been done very well with no signs of plugged holes. The pull quarter repeat mechanism loos to be original to the clock and so do the brackets, they are made from the same coloured brass.

The movement is original to the case and is complete with the original seatboard. The movement is very dirty but is working and sounds nice when chiming. It will need cleaning and servicing. Comes with weights and pendulum. A very nice honest clock.

A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH SOLID SILVER REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK IN ORIGINAL LEATHER CARRYING CASE the Rococo style leaf cast silver case with folding handle and hinged back door raised on paw feet, enclosing a circular dial with Roman numerals and finely cut steel hands, signed to the centre. Fronting a finely made eight-day spring driven movement with balance wheel lever escapement, striking the hours and half hours on a gong, fitted enamal alarm dial and signed to the back plate. fitted in original numbered and signed leather case 99.5cm high handle down The silver case is in very good condition, with no dents or splits, the hinged handle is slightly lopsided and will need straightening. The movement is ticking but the striking mechanism will need attention as it doesn't stop striking. The carrying case is original to the clock and in good condition other than the carrying handle has snapped.

The hands have been possibly replaced. The movement which is original to the dial and case has its original verge escapement and looks to have been recently serviced and is in nice working condition striking the correct hours, and comes with winding keys and door keys.

Would benefit from wax. the dial has its original paint which is crazed but stable, there is a small area of repair at 8 o'clock where the dial foot would be attached. The hands are original, and the quality movement is original to the case and dial and is complete. Ticks when wound and strikes/repeats the correct hours. Missing door key. The movement is dirty and will require a service.

They have serviced it regularly and was working when we removed it from the premises. The case has a few small knocks on the mouldings and two small splits on the trunk door. Images have been uploaded. The dial has light marks on the silvering. The movement is clean and in good working condition with original pendulum. Comes with winding key and door keys.

The hour strike will need some attention, it is going through the sequence on the hour with the rack moving to the correct hour but the hammer isn't moving. Extra images have been uploaded. The vacant hole to the side of the case is for a repeat cord which is present inside the case and does work correctly. The dial is original, hands have possibly been replaced. No key.
