Footnote: The vendor informs us that the gun was originally purchased by the family from Hardy Bros. in Alnwick. The vendor informs us that his only experience of seeing the gun in action was in his youth, on a small yacht. As it resulted in the firer being thrown overboard by the unexpected recoil, it has remained unused ever since.
