FLATHOLM 1943, Royal Navy Minesweeper, a six pillar crown top bell with original hanging bracket to crown, broad arrow mark or crows foot to rear, original crazed wax infill to lettering, built by Cook, Welton and Gemmill, Beverley for the Royal Navy, pennant T354, ordered 30 July 1943, laid down 23rd February 1943, launched 8th May 1943, a crown top bell in good original condition, no cracks, good untouched patina, original brass and steel hammer, appears to be original bell rope, hung on forged steel bracket, 31.3cm high, 32cm wide, 19.05kg in weight, bracket weight 4.53kg The Isles class trawlers were a class of naval trawler used by the Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy and Royal New Zealand Navy during World War Two, they were mainly used on minesweeping and harbour defence duties, after the war H.M.S. Flatholme was a wreck disposal vessel (DV9) sold on 31st August 1960
Trench Art - a Vickers Mark II shell case, inscribed Fired From The H.M. Transport Pola, No. 775 In The Mediterranean, Captain Hugh Hughes, 41.5cm high; a World War Two whistle, by Adie Bros, Birmingham, 1940, War Department arrow mark; an early 20th century scratchbuilt lighter [3] SS Pola was built in 1898 by J. Redhead & Sons, South Shields, for the English & American Shipping Co (C.T. Bowring Co), no. 109967. However, with the onset of World War One she was quickly in the service of the Admiralty as a collier, no. 775. In March 1917, she was torpedoed and sunk by U-Boat 81 while 280 miles west-north-west of Ushant on passage from Cardiff.

Chocolate brown leather frog with removed leg ties/grip suspender, with blackened brass end cap & belt loop section.

The brown leather scabbard retains leg straps, brass end cap & elastic grip suspender, stamped England to leather belt loop portion. A very fine condition piece, touted as an ‘export’ model for use by US & Commonwealth Special Forces, however many of these were issued to British S.F. including L.R.D.G. & S.A.S.

The book signed by Mary Stopes Roe ( Barnes Wallis' daughter), last surviving British Dambuster George ' Johnny ' Johnson, and 617 Squadron Pilot Benny Goodman. All three have autographed both the inside of the book, and the exterior slipcase. On the rear inside cover, Johnson has added a small arrow and ' Our Target ', as well as his autograph. London Underground enamel STATION INDICATOR PLATE 'Charing Cross'. This is the type once common on the system where an arrow would illuminate next to the plate to indicate the next train. This example is believed to be from one of the indicators on the eastbound platform at Earl's Court station for when short-working trains would terminate at Charing Cross, now re-named Embankment. Measures 29" x 7" (74cm x 17cm) and in excellent condition, minor blemishes only. [1]
1960s London Transport enamel BUS STOP FLAG 'Red Arrow'. This is the very uncommon version which is for Red Arrow services only. It's an E3 version with space for 3 e-plates on both sides but, as with many Red Arrow flags, the runners were removed by LT for re-use when these flags were taken down c.1972. A traditional bullseye 'boat' flag, (two-sided, hollow) measuring 18" x 20.5" (46cm x 52cm). A few small chips to the enamel at the edges but generally a very good example of this very scarce flag. 1930s London Underground ENAMEL SIGN 'Baker Street Stn' with a two-flighted arrow piercing the bullseye. This would have been located on a lamp standard etc in the vicinity of the station. Vendor advises that the sign is double-sided but only one side is visible while it remains in its bespoke wooden frame. Measures 26" x 10.5" (66cm x 27cm). Somewhat weathered with areas of restoration and a small loss at the bottom l/h corner. A most unusual item. [1]
A fine and large Georgian mourning pendant, of oval from, with engraved yellow metal frame, the front having a gold and seed pearl set ' classical altar' with blue enamelled columns and central hand painted panel depicting a cherub with arrow, surmounted by a further oval hand painted panel depicting interlocking hearts, with seed pearl border and gold filigree work torchere and quiver of arrows behind, all under convex glass reverse painted in black and gilt with repeating arrow flight border, the verso with quadrants of hair and central oval hand painted monogram with seed pearl border, also under convex glass, (yellow metal assessed as gold), height 6.2cm x width 4.8cm x depth 1.3cm.
