A well-engineered gauge 1 model of a live steam LNER 2-6-2 tender locomotive No 4771, built by Mr Ron Cook of Tyne and Wear to D Hewson plans. The silver soldered copper boiler having fittings including water sight-glass, pressure gauge, regulator, direction control and checker plate cab floor. The chassis with twin outside cylinders, fluted motion and Walschaert s valve gear, six wheel tender. The model finished in apple green lined livery with polished brightwork, fitted steps and hand-rails. Display track and carrying case. Please note some pipework has been removed for pressure test purposes. * This locomotive is based on the LNER Class V2 tender locomotive Green Arrow being the first of its class and designed by Sir Nigel Gresley. Only one of these full size locomotives has survived into preservation. Built in June 1936 at Doncaster and used for Express mixed traffic work.

WW2 Uniform Grouping of Sergeant R D Jenner Prince Alberts Own 11th Hussars 7th Armoured Division, superb example of the walking out type 1940 pattern battle dress tailored with open collar and internal shoulder pads. To each arm is rank stripes with RAC arm of service stripe and embroidered 7th Armoured division formation sign, evidence of where the 11th Hussars arm badge has once been present. Above the breast pocket are medal ribbons for 1939-45 star, Africa star with 8th army numeral, Italy star, France and Germany star, Defence medal and 1939-45 war medal. 1944 dated tailors label to the interior of the blouse with his name “SGT JENNER” inked, also WD stamped with date letter “Z” for 1945. Accompanied by a pair of matching walking out battle dress trousers stamped with War Department mark and date letter “M” for 1944. Included in the group is his original 11th Hussars pattern brown beret with maroon central band, cloth lining with leather sweatband. Broad arrow and 1942 date stamped to the lining of the beret. Accompanied by a photograph album containing his wartime pictures and newspaper cuttings covering his service through North Africa, Middle East, Italy, North West Europe and as occupation force in Spandau. Many very good clear images of fellow comrades, armoured cars, civilians, battle damage, etc. Amongst the album are other items of ephemera collected at the time including bank notes etc. Other sundry badges, insignia, paperwork and equipment items also included. Trooper, later Sergeant Ronald D Jenner was born in Bexleyheath, Kent. He was educated at the Boys Central School, once left he worked at Messrs A Hide and Son, Bexleyheath in the men’s outfitting department. He joined the 11th Hussars in 1942, a newspaper cutting in the album states that he along with the crew of his armoured car were the first to enter Tripoli and Tunis. His service spanned 1942 until demoded in 1946. He served in the Middle East, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany.
Rare Silver Hilted 1796 Pattern Cavalry Officers Sword, blade struck with crowned broad arrow ordnance inspector’s mark, back edge stamped WOOLLEY with I (India?), regulation silver stirrup hilt (no visible hallmark) silver gripstrap and ferule, silver wire bound grip, in its iron scabbard with twin hanging rings. Blade 83cms. Good condition, requires cleaning, age wear overall, tip of grip chipped.
Scarce Household Cavalry Troopers Sword, regulation curved fullered single edge blade stamped WSC, broad arrow, government inspector’s stamp and sale marks, regulation guard (re-plated), iron grip strap, wire bound fish skin covered grip, in its iron scabbard. Blade 88cms. Good condition, blade refinished, tip re-pointed, worn overall.
Fine 1897 Pattern EIIR Infantry Officers Sword, regulation blade etched and polished with crowned GRI, royal arms, JP (possibly colonial police service initials) and foliage, regulation plated hilt with crowned EIIR cipher, chequered plated grip strap and wire bound fish skin grip, black leather dress knot, in its black leather scabbard with small stamps CA1939, C broad arrow 17, nickel throat piece stamped C broad arrow 15, complete with black leather frog and woven black shoulder cords with bullion embroidered crowns. Blade 82.5cms. Very good condition, blade retains virtually all original polish.
British 1903 Short Magazine Lee Enfield SMLE Bayonet, wooden grips with two securing screws, drilled oil hole in the top pommel. Pommel stamped “MM RRE 952”. Knife pattern blade with crowned 1903 and EFD under broad arrow to opposite side. Housed in leather and steel mounted scabbard. Brown leather frog with inked initials and service number. Blade measures 30 ½ cms, overall 44 ½ cms. Good overall condition.
Attributed WW2 British Fairbairn Sykes (F.S) B2 2nd Pattern Commando Knife, good example with plain oval cross guard stamped with broad arrow and “B2”. Cross hatched grip with brass nut fitting to the top. Double edged stiletto type blade. Some surface staining to the blade. Housed in its leather scabbard which has been stuffed with wartime period newspaper. Lower nickel silver chape to the scabbard. Missing its tabs from the lower section of the scabbard and top scabbard section. Vendor states, he acquired this knife from the Veteran who carried this knife. He states the knife was carried during WW2 by John N Morris 133 Force and No2 Commando.
WW2 1944 Chindits Machete, the wooden handle stamped to the reverse “A J DAVIDSON 1944” with broad arrow stamp. Housed in leather scabbard with securing strap and brass stud. Blade appears to be from a cut down larger weapon, but made to be worn with this scabbard. Similar example shown in “British and Commonwealth Military Knives” by Flook.
A World War One Sir W.G. Armstrong Whitworth & Co. Ltd. Munitions of War Imperial Service lapel badge, Serial No. to rear 3180, 25 mm, a On War Service 1915 lapel bade, Serial No. 36973, by J.R. Gaunt & Son. Ltd., London, a military oil bottle stamped "Harcourt" and with a broad arrow and various shell cases, armourers tool, etc.
