1856 Pattern Pioneers Sawbuck sword. Straight, spear point sawback blade 22.5". Ricasso marked 'Wilkinson' London, '03, W/D Arrow, bend test X and inspection marks. Solid brass ribbed grip with knucklebow. In its brass mounted leather scabbard (chape a/f) Locket top marked '3.1900' (March 1900) & 'R.S.R.3' (3rd Bn. Royal Scots Regiment). Blade with some staining over polished blade. Leather a little dry with some a/f stitching near the chape.
Colt London .35 Calibre Navy Pistol. Serial number 11,502. This makes it a 2nd Model London manufactured in 1854 at the start of the Crimean War. The left hand barrel flat is marked 'WD' below the Government Arrow. Barrel 7.5" with 'Address Col Colt London' to top octagonal flat. Good one piece walnut grips with 'TE' stamp (?). Iron backstrap and trigger guard. Matching numbers (some faded/worn) 'Six shot cylinder with 'VR' proof marks. Crisp, tight action with good lock up. WD mark denotes purchased by the British War Department during the Crimean War for the Baltic Fleet. A good pistol, some oxidisation to metal parts but in V good working order & condition. A sleeper.
Rare P07 SMLE bayonet with hooked quillon by rare maker Mole. In its steel mounted leather MK1 scabbard with integral button chape. Clean straight blade 17". Ricasso with ER Cypher and dated '12.08' reinspected 1909 & 1911. Pommel stamped with regimental markings '2 Y & L.' (2nd Bn York & Lancaster R.). The Battalion served in France with the 6th Div. from 9.9.14 & fought on the Aisne in 1914, Hooge Ypres 1915 and on the Somme 1916. With service wear overall but in good clean condition with clear markings. Scabbard leather & stitching good stamped 'HGR' 09' with W/D arrow and inspection marks.
Webley & Scott 'Schermuly' MKII signal pistol. Issue marks for 1917, with W/D arrow stamp & inspection marks. Webley winged bullet. Excellent walnut grips. (No chips or losses). Lanyard ring. Bell muzzle in good working order & condition with deactivation certificate dated 5.13.17. The pistol in collector grade condition.
dating: Second half of the 19th Century provenance: Southern Italy, Straight, single-and short false-edged blade, provided with pierced and engraved band next to the back, bearing a long, rinceaux tree-decoration, a person at its feet (intended to urinate?) leans on the trunk. Fretwork tang, with a scene with a person hunting a deer with bow and arrow. Crowned stamp 'PV' (for Pasquale Villani di Campobasso). Rectangular base, with molded decorations and central knot. Iron grip in one piece, with flat pommel of circular shape, curved on one side and adorned with grooves. Brown, horn grip scales with silver escutcheon. length 47 cm.
