A NEW LAND PATTERN LIGHT CAVALRY PISTOL. A Light Cavalry Pistol with a 22.5 cm tapering barrel, plainer, unbolted lock and raised flash pan. Marked G.R. beneath a crown and 'Tower' to the side plate, RF and BO beneath a government arrow to the stock, with brass fittings and butt, 38cm overall.

A British spike bayonet with a 42cm triform blade stamped John Gill and with War Department arrow, 54.5cm overall length and another similarly marked with 39.5cm blade. (2). An 1879 Pattern Artillery 'Martini Henry' bayonet with a 65cm partially fullered blade with pointed and partially double sided blade with 23cm 'saw-back' edge. Marked WD with arrow and 'X' 7/85 VR and other marks. With a leather mounted grip and 'D' shaped knuckle bow. 79.5cm overall.

A waxed cotton short sleeved jacket with shoulder initials 'KAR' for the King's African Rifles and rank for a 2nd Lieutenant, with a whistle on a green chord to the right shoulder, the whistle marked with a Government arrow and date 1948. London, No.5955, 1913 with government arrow, the leather case stamped R.Stafford 1918 and in ink 'C.C.T.' with a handwritten note 'This compass belonged to Cyril Titchmarsh during the First World War'. A Cyril Clarrington Titchmarsh is recorded as serving during the First World War as a Temporary Captain in the Army Service Corps. And a pair of field glasses, unmarked, in leather case and strap. Scarce Early Pattern British Tankers Helmet, blackened cloth covered cork helmet with large upturned padded protection piece. Interior has the original liner system with the leather sweatband being gilt tooled “THE GROSS TANK HELMET” and manufactures details “HELMETS LTD WHEATHAMPSTEAD”. War department broad arrow stamp underneath the sweatband. Very good overall condition.
Post WW2 Scottish Tam O’Shanter, good example of a khaki wool body headdress with woollen tuft to the top. Cloth lining to the interior with ink makers stamp, war department arrow and 1954 date. Tartan cap badge square backing stitched to the headdress. Accompanied by a 1950’s Scottish regimental bonnet with diced headband. Both good overall condition. Same style as WW2 examples, ideal for re-enactment or space filling. (2 items)
WW2 Kings Royal Rifle Corps 23rd Armoured Brigade Colour Sergeants Battle Dress Blouse, good worn example of a 1940 pattern battle dress blouse fitted with black Rifles buttons. To the arm are embroidered shoulder titles, embroidered felt 23rd Armoured Brigade formation signs above black felt brigade bar and then red backed rifles rank insignia. Interior with original Stark Brothers Ltd 1945 dated label. Inked to the interior with the name of the original owner “D J ROBSON”. War Department broad arrow with date letter “Z”. One button missing and couple of minor little moth nips but generally a good example.
WW1 Australian Imperial Camel Corps Officers Travel Case, Attributed to Captain Frederick Henry Naylor, Killed in Action 19th April 1917, heavy canvas case with leather straps and wooden base. Front flap stencilled “F. H. NAYLOR CAMEL CORPS” with broad arrow and 15 underneath, for the date 1915, also stencilled above the name is the letter “A”. Reverse of the case fitted with alloy hanging / fixing rings on wooden slats. Possibly adapted for use of travel on camels? Remains in generally good condition. A biography of Naylor gives the following information, “Second Lieutenant Frederick Henry Naylor, Imperial Camel Corps from Malvern Victoria. A 36 year old plantation manager prior to being appointed an officer in the AIF on 16 April 1915, he had previously served with the 4th Victorian Contingent to South Africa from March 1900 to September 1901. He embarked for overseas with the 21st Battalion Headquarters staff from Melbourne on 10 May 1915 aboard HMAT Ulysses. After being promoted to Lieutenant on 26 August 1915, he transferred to the Camel Corps on 1 February 1916 and was promoted to Captain on 1 March 1916. While serving in the Middle East, he was Mentioned in Dispatches for gallantry and was later killed in action near Gaza on 19 April 1917. Captain Naylor has no known grave and is commemorated on the Jerusalem War Cemetery Memorial, Israel.”
Set of WW1 Period Officers Binoculars, being a set made by Colmont Paris. Housed in original British officers brown leather (Sam Browne) case with broad arrow stamp. Optics remain clear. Broad arrow mark to the binoculars indicating purchased for military use. Accompanied by a similar pair of binoculars made by John Campbell, Liverpool. This set does not have the leather case.
