A Parnall & Sons shop display cabinet for John Hill & Son, Ashton-under-Lyne, with two glazed doors, enclosing two glass shelves, each of the glazed sides acid etched with the retailer 'John Hill & Son, Tudno Cake Factory, Ashton under Lyne', the base moulding on the front with an enamelled plaque for the manufacturer 'Parnall & Sons Ltd, Shop Fitters...Arrow Wine St Bristol', some damage and losses, 66cm wide x 31cm deep x 68cm highTop with stains, including decorator's paint and lacking back gallery (shadow evident and screw holes/chips, where would have been attached). Lacking right side base moulding and rear base moulding detached. Front left of base moulding lacking 5cm of edge of base. Enamel plaque chipped and damaged. Chips, dents and scratches consistent with age and use, including chip adjacent to catch on the front.

A yellow metal cased "Tudor Oysterthin 21 Rubies Shock Resisting" gentleman's wristwatch the silvered face having the hours marked by gold coloured batons and with a sweep second hand, the hour and minute hands being of arrow-head shape. The stainless steel screw-down case-back is engraved "Original Oyster case by Rolex Geneva" and is numbered "327891" & "7960". The screw-down crown bears the Rolex trade mark. Sold with a brown leather wrist strap. The face is 28 mm diameter and the case 33 mm wide approximately. Distance between lugs 19 mm. There is a small hairline crack to the glass near the four o'clock position and there is some marking commensurate with use. The watch was running normally at the time of cataloguing.
