Also a luminous spirit filled gauge for measuring the roll of an airship, graduated 0-10 both ways. Of blackened alloy, 17cm. Plus an interesting WW1 vane operated firing pin for a bomb, twin blades 11.5cm overall, which rotate as the bomb falls at the same time unscrewing a pin which eventually fires the bomb. Marked (faint) in ink “Aerial Bomb Exp. Vane WW1 1917-18” (some corrosion obscuring official marks). GC. (3). Plate 2.

Together with two train sets: Tri-ang `Blue Pullman` train set (includes power car, dummy car, passenger coach); Hornby `Orient Express (missing locomotive and some track); two unboxed Hornby 4-6-2 tender locomotives (LNER `Flying Scotsman` and LMS `Princess Elizabeth`). Two Marklin tin-plate clockwork racing cars: consists of no.1098 `Silver Arrow` Mercedes-Benz W196R (VG, boxed slight damage to inside of box lid); no.1097 `Silver Arrow` Mercedes-Benz W154/38 (includes RN 28 sticker sheet, G/VG with some foam residue to top of car, boxed). These items were third and fourth in a series of clockwork vehicles manufactured by Marklin for sale in their factory museum in Germany. (2).
