A WWII period military issue Omega wristwatch:, the stainless steel case with black dial, Arabic numerals with luminous hands and dot markers with subsidiary seconds dial, marked Omega and with broad arrow, the movement numbered 10294962, the case stamped 'WWW Y3170 10667369' on later adjustable strap.*Notes- During World War II the Ministry of Defence approached twelve Swiss watch manufacturers to make a wristwatch designed to military specifications. The 'WWW' prefix is simple military code for 'Wrist Watch Waterproof'. All twelve manufactures responded and the watches have become known as 'The Dirty Dozen'.
