Original vintage propaganda poster issued by OSPAAAL - Organisation of Solidarity with the People of Asia, Africa and Latin America, a Cuban political movement founded in Havana in 1966, created to fight globalisation, imperialism, neoliberalism and defend human rights. The poster titled Disappearance of Ben Barka October 29, featuring illustrations of a dragon, a statue holding a sword and shield, two men fighting with a spear and bow and arrow, and stylised bold colourful lettering that reads 'Ben Barka'. Mehdi Ben Barka was a Moroccan left-wing politician and secretary of the Tricontinental Conference, he opposed French Imperialism and King Hassan II of Morocco, Barka disappeared in Paris on 29 October 1965, according to an Israeli journalist and author Ronen Bergman, the disappearance was organised by hands of Moroccan agents and French police. Good condition, tears on edges. Country of issue: Cuba, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 54x33, year of printing: 1960s.
