A Mahogany Eight Day Marine Chronometer, by Victor Kullberg, numbered 9282, supplied to the British Government India Office in 1919, bottom case section with concealed side handles, silvered dial with Roman numerals, later retailers signature Greenwich Time R.A.Jones & Sons Ltd The County Watchmakers, numbered 9282 broad arrow I 1919, two dials for seconds and up/down indication, single fusee movement with a spring detent escapement, maintaining power, blued screws, movement stamped with broad arrow I 1919 and numbered 9282, free sprung helical hairspring, bimetallic compensation split balance with timing screws and weights, diamond endstone, movement contained in a brass gimbal numbered inside bowl 9282, 13cm high, sold with a CD showing all the client's research and images of the Victor Kullberg's pages in the original record book and a typed copy by the vendor of Victor Kullberg's order book 1913-1919. see illustrations This movement shows all the characteristics of Victor Kullberg's top quality work. These eight day chronometers were used in the 19th/early 20th century and ordered by the British Government for military use at sea. It is understood from the current vendor's extensive research that in 2010 Jonathan Betts, curator of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, confirmed that the movement was by Victor Kullberg. The Guildhall Library in London confirmed from the Victor Kullberg original record books that this chronometer 9282 was ordered by the British Government India Office along with two other eight day marine chronometers 9264 & 9266 at £57.10s each on September 17th 1919. 21.02.19, The bottom case section with scratches and slightly faded in parts, metal mounts are discoloured, upper two box sections are missing. The retailers signature on the dial has been later added, back of the dial with signs of punch marks, a signature appears to have been removed at some time and the current retailers name added, gimbal brass surfaces are discoloured and with surface scratches, movement is winding smoothly and the power reserve hand is moving correctly when winding, balance with a good swinging action, movement in going order.
A Very Rare and Early Pre-Professional Stainless Steel Chronograph Wristwatch, signed Omega, model: Pre-Professional Moonwatch Speedmaster Second Generation, ref: 2998-62, 1962, (calibre 321) lever movement signed and numbered 18949076, column wheel chronograph movement, dust cover, original finish stepped Pre-Professional dial with an early feature applied Omega Logo, luminous baton markers and fifths of seconds track, three dials for seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, original Alpha hands, original drop counter weight centre seconds hand, case with straight lugs and with buttons in the band to operate chronograph, original ''dot over 90'' tachymeter 500 bezel, original double bevel edge screw caseback with speedmaster monogram and signed and numbered inside 2998-62, 40mm wide This is a reference 2998-62 second generation mechanical manual winding Omega housing the calibre 321 movement. It is the same model worn by Wally Schirra in 1962 when it became the first Omega watch model to be worn in space. It is a second generation Speedmaster and followed the first generation broad arrow reference 2915 Speedmaster launched in 1957. This is a rare and early Speedmaster having all the original features and is very hard to find in today's watch market. 20.02.19, Case with surface scratches scratches, case sides, lugs and bezel edges with small dents, case back speedmaster monogram and Omega symbol is slightly rubbed, bracelet/strap is missing, bezel with scratches throughout and the bezel surface is discoloured, plexi glass with small scratches, original dial finish with has aged nicely, luminous baton markers are slightly faded but again nicely aged, original hands are slightly stained and the luminous is slightly discoloured, hand setting correctly and winding smoothly, chronograph is working, movement is clean and in going order.
A Stainless Steel Triple Calendar Wristwatch, signed Movado, circa 1950, lever movement signed, silvered dial with luminous Arabic numerals, seconds dial, day/month apertures, outer date ring with a corresponding central red arrow head date hand, case with calendar adjustment pushers in the band, snap-on back stamped inside with makers trademark and numbered 14776 A477485, 33mm wide see illustration 18.01.19, Case with surface scratches, later strap and buckle, dial has been refinished to a high standard, calendars are all working and the calendar side pushers are working, hand setting correctly and winding smoothly, movement in going order.

British Cold War era Royal Navy Nuclear Submariners Officer's issue "Lemania" stainless steel, manual wind, monopusher chronograph Wristwatch. White dial with Arabic numerals. Separate seconds dial. Marked "Lemania", with Broad Arrow and "Incabloc" along with "Swiss Made". The "T" marking has been correctly blanked out in white as correct for a modified Series 3 RN watch to allow usage in nuclear submarines, therefore all radio active Tritium removed. Reverse of case marked with Broad Arrow and stores number "0552/924-3312" (Previous number 3306 has been struck out when the watch was reissued for use on Nuclear Submarines) together with "81390". Black leather replacement wrist strap. The watch was last serviced approx 18 months ago. Runs and ticks.

Dark patina overall, striker lacking.

An unusual dagger jambiya of Persian form. Probably Ottoman, 19th century, curved DE watered blade 20cms with raised central rib, one piece ivory hilt, the front applied with tiny silver arrow heads and assorted cup-set cabochon stones mostly turquoise, pommel covered with a silver plate set with larger cabochon stones, in its silver sheath struck with an unidentified hallmark (perhaps a sah mark). A Polish souvenir box, d 1940, the top deeply carved with a shepherd protecting his sheep from an eagle, in mountain scenery, monogram initials “HM” and “Zakopane 1940” on the front, 9½” x 6½” x 3”; a WM whistle stamped with maker’s name, broad arrow/I and d. 1940; a painted deed box, “Colonel Kayser CB” on the lid, (one handle and interior fittings missing).
