An English Hunting Hanger, And A 1751 Pattern Brass-Hilted Militia Hanger The First Late 17th Century, The Second Early 19th CenturyThe first with curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point and etched with two lions in a landscape along each side of the forte, hilt comprising iron guard with scallop-shell side-guard, lobed faceted rear quillon, knuckle-guard with double central feature en suite and hooked into the pommel-cap, the latter (minor damage) encircled by alternate embossed and chased birds and figures each playing a horn, tang button centred on Bacchus masks, and natural staghorn grip (iron parts with some pitting); the second with curved blade (rust patination) fullered along the back on each side, the forte on one side stamped with contractor's name 'T. A good early 19th Century French split and coloured straw work reel box of rectangular form, possibly French Napoleonic prisoner of war work, the sliding lid with a particularly fine panel of a basket of flowers, quiver, arrow and bow, the long sides with garlands of flowers and to one side four bone reel apertures, the ends with baskets of fruit and flowers, compartmentalised interior in original paper, 16.2 x 10.4 x 5cms.
A dated and inscribed sailor's carved mahogany seam rubber, the terminal carved as a monkey's fist knot to a carved arm and hand with ropework bangle, the hand clasping a carved handle above a carved band of rope the wedge inscribed 'Magnus Frank - 1849', the sides carved to one side with a heart and an arrow the other a heart over flowering branches, with some colour highlights, 22cms high, 5cms max. width. ± Seam rubbers were used by sailors to flatten the sale canvas to ensure good seams. WW2 Issue Army Timepiece Watch by ""Leonidas"" plated case. The rear with broad arrow and ""ATP"". Clear face with lower seconds dial. Maker ""Leonidas Swiss Made"". Leather strap with ink naming. Together with newspaper cutting to original owner ... 1941 Christmas card ... Bakelite ink pen. All contained in leather jewellery box. Originally owned by Arnold Gartside MBE who served with the RAOC as a Major. He gave it to a relative J Rigby before his death in 1953. Watch appears to keep time but cannot be guaranteed.

A Minton's porcelain tray, date code for 1881, finely enamelled with a central roundel of swifts in flight, within a fern painted ground and gilt highlighted borders, impressed maker's marks, painted artist's monogram 'JTR' with arrow in green and shape number 2211 to base, 40cm wide CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows a small firing crack approximately 4mm long to the top left corner of the rim, a small glazing fault 2mm long to the top centre of the rim, a firing frit to the lower left corner, and a smaller frit to the centre of the right hand side. The gilt highlights show rubbing throughout. The top surface shows minor scratching and fine surface wear.

An Important Channel Islands Jersey Silver Coffee Pot with extensive chased foliate scroll and floral decoration, the base engraved "LEANE LE COUTIEUR (MOTHER TO GENL. H. TOUZEL) DIED C1801.", 25cm, maker JQ stamped twice for Jacques QUESNEL I, 1002g http://www.theislandwiki.org/index.php/General_Helier_Touzel Provenance: For the first time on the market since it was originally sold, brought in for sale by a descendant of the original ownerN.B. Pot is a very heavy gauge silver and in very clean condition, heavy solder to the base presumably a repair. The engraving is in two parts: the first, of a noticeably different style, being IEANE LE COUTEUR. The first name is missing an N, but not unusual for spelling mistakes to be made at the time and there is a small upwards 'arrow' underneath the N. The second part of the engraving is much deeper and obviously much later after Touzel reached the rank of General. The vendor's mother's maiden name was Rosemary Touzel Wynne-Edwards
