A GEORGE III MAHOGANY 'SQUARE' PIANO, the rectangular case with arrow inlay, the board with fret carved lyre and painted wild rose decoration, with inset oval porcelain plaque Muzio Clementi and Co., 26 Cheapside London, on square tapering legs. (for restoration), 61 1/2" wide and 22" deep. Muzio Clementi was born at Rome in 1752 and died at Evesham in 1832, celebrated pianist., teacher and composer, founded the firm of Clementi and Co which became Collard and Collard thence Chappell and Co.

An exceptional example with much of obverse legend, the figure well centred, extremely fine.

MOLLY M. LATHAM (c.1900-1987) "STEADY AIM", WINNER OF THE OAKS, 1946 Signed and dated 1946, oil on canvas 61.5 x 87.5cm. ++ Relined; otherwise in good condition Steady Aim, born in 1937, by Felstead out of Quick Arrow, was bred and owned by Sir Frank Butt. At odds of 7/1 she won the Oaks by three lengths from Iona in Harry Wragg's capable hands. She was injured before the St. Leger and was never to race again, but she bred five noble winners.
The Suffolk Regiment a late Victorian mahogany dial timepiece the five pillar single fusee movement with the M O D arrow device and initials ‘W D’ stamped to the shaped backplate with 14in white painted Roman numeral dial signed ‘S B Young Cambridge’ within a turned surround and mahogany salt box type case with side door and pendulum adjustment flap to the curved base the rear stamped with ‘Suffolk Regiment’ 45cm diameter.

A FINE J. PURDEY & SONS .303 ROTARY-UNDERLEVER SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK NON-EJECTOR DOUBLE RIFLE, serial no. 15885, 25 1/2in. Whitworth-steel nitro chopperlump barrels with matt sight rib, open sights with silver inlays for 100 and 200 yards, and with ramp-mounted bead foresight with serial numbered hood protector, bolstered treble-grip action with side-clips, bolted automatic safety, arrow cocking-indicators, removable striker discs, best bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining much original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, sling swivels and engraved pistolgrip-cap, weight 9lbs. 7oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case. The maker's have kindly confirmed that the rifle was completed in August 1898.
