Estimated to be from the 1950s and may perhaps have been sited at Acton Town station. Measures 41" x 30.5" (104cm x 77cm) and in very good ex-use condition with just some small scratches and nicks. 1930s/40s London Underground ENAMEL SIGN 'Way Out' with the pre-WW2 3-feathered arrow and brown edging. Measures 52.5" x 10.5" (133cm x 27cm) and is in excellent, ex-use condition with very minor blemishes only. A superb example which probably owes its condition to a working life under cover. [1]

Lot 400

London Transport enamel BUS & RED ARROW STOP FLAG. These were used from the late 1960s until the early 1970s after which the Red Arrow services used standard bus stops. An E3-size, double-sided, hollow, 'boat'-style flag measuring 18" x 21" (46cm x 53cm) with space for 3 e-plates on each side, the runners were removed by LT before disposal. In very good condition with only very small blemishes. [1]

The mark 'IF' crossed by a fletched arrow is indicative of this foundry, rather than the particular founder, but is likely this skillet was made by John Fathers I (d.1688) or John Fathers II (d.1749). The set was made over a period of at least 42 years.
