A rare FE8 four-blade propeller, the laminated mahogany propeller stamped F.E.8 FALCON AIRSCREW, GNG No 7928T, 100 GNOME, MONOSOUPAPE, D.M.D., with war department arrow, the brass sheathed blades all with D.M.D. London decal, 244cm acrossQty: (1)NOTESThe propeller was obtained by the current owner in the early 1970s from a chicken shed in Wales. It had previously been bought c.1918-20 to power a wind generator but was never used for that purpose. The owner had the propeller professionally restored by an ex DMD London workshop apprentice. The Royal Aircraft Factory F.E.8. was a WWI British single-seat fighter it was powered by a Gnome Monosoupape rotary engine.

At some time in its life, this bell was painted red, some vestiges of paint remain in the sharp corners around the top loops of the bell.

Poster of A-10A Thunderbolt II US Navy, 706th Tactical Fighter Squadron New Orleans, signed by members of the squadron, the poster reads: To the British Special Forces our True Allies, approx 42 w x 30 h cms, together with a booklet relating to a Training Exercise at Eagle's Nest Fort Bragg North Carolina between July and October 1962, twelve weeks of training where the SAS received advanced training in the Special Forces basic skills of operations and intelligence, demolitions, light and heavy weapons and radio. The 22nd SAS participated in three maneuvers, Swift Strike II, Devil Arrow and an exercise in the Monongahela Nation Forest, West Virginia. The exercise marks the first time since the War of 1812 that an organized British fighting unit has been stationed in the United States.

A German Second War Luftwaffe Flight Bar for Fighter Pilots in Gold. A very fine example of the short range Day Fighter Clasp in gold in its original fitted case. The award has good gold finish, slight toning to the lower section of the left hand wing otherwise some traces of illuminated gilt to the edges of the central wreath, the upward pointing central arrow still having its patinated finish. On the reverse side it is with its correct wide tapering pin constructed in Tombak, unmarked, the central rivet that holds the arrow pointing upwards to the main body of the award normally delicately domed, in this instance the operative has slightly flattened the rivet during construction. Original fitted case with scratches to the edges and good gilded lettering to the exterior of the box, which reads Front Flugspange Fur Jager Gold, some slight losses of the paper cover to the box on the base, very good condition £200-£240

A German Second War Luftwaffe Day Fighter Bar in Silver. A very nice example of a Tombak non maker marked Luftwaffe Flight Clasp in silver, good silvering generally, slight frosting still showing to the edges of all of the leaves, slight toning to the lower base coloration of the left hand set of leaves. The black patinated finish to the upward pointed eagle all intact. Complete with its wide tapering pin, original hook and hinge. One small delicate rivet holding the arrow to the main award. In its original fitted case, which is in immaculate condition with the lettering to the exterior Frontflugspanger fur Jager Silber, good condition £240-£280

Nice convex shape with its original wide tapering pin, hook and hinge. G.H.Osang Dresden tablet impressed to the right hand side of the reverse of the award. All finish remaining with all of the patinated finish to the arrow pointing upwards also intact, good condition £200-£240

Bezel, lugs, case and reverse all show signs of generic wear which primarily consists of surface scratches. Crystal not present. Bezel, lugs, case, reverse and watch face/dial all show extensive signs wear including denting, scratches, losses etc. The back of the watch has not been removed therefore no statement regarding the movement can be made. A Smiths Military issue W10 wristwatch, ref W10/6645-99-961-4045, case number 0552, 4385/68, the stainless steel case enclosing a circular black face with Arabic and luminous dial, bearing 'Smiths', tritium 'T' and military issue arrow head, case diameter excluding winding crown 3.6cm (at fault) Your attention is drawn to our important notice regarding the Trevanion sale of watches found in our Terms & Conditions, please read this prior to bidding. Appears to tick when wound however the second hand will need adjusting due to it being obstructed from performing a complete rotation by its positioning. Hands complete a full twelve hour rotation. Face appears in good order. Luminosity of the tritium batons can be seen when the watch is removed from light. The hour and minute hands are both worn and would require restoration. Crystal with some scratches and surface stains. Crown pulls to winding position happily but seems slow/sticky to when pushed back to return position. Bezel, lugs, case and reverse all show signs of generic wear which primarily consists of surface scratches and small nicks. The back of the watch has not been removed therefore no statement regarding the movement can be made. Please see the additional images which illustrate the above mentioned.
