Reginald Fairfax Wells (1877-1951), a Coldrum Pottery vase, loosely modelled on a Chinese Arrow Vase, with a streaky olive green and aubergine glaze, impressed to the underside "Coldrum at Chelsea", (fitted to hold an electric lamp with a pierced base), the vase 28 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a hole pierced to the bottom to accommodate an electric cable. It would appear that the addition of an electric attachment has caused a crack to appear from the top rim going to just below the handle, underneath the handle and approximately 3 cm across to the other side. The metal attachment cannot be removed to inspect the rim but the outer rim looks to be in good order. The crack does appear to be the only visible fault.

A Swedish barrel knife, blade 4”, which folds into brass section which in turn fits into wooden grip with steel end caps, the brass section with maker’s name “Joh. Engstrom, Eskilstuna, Sweden” on one side and maker’s mark of an arrow with initials JE and date 1874, on the other side. GC, a clean example. Plate 7

Brass breech block with iron bolt, imperial stamp, remains of stamps and partial numbering. Backward spring lock, dated '1864' and marked 'BEURET FRERES / LIEGE'. In working order. Wooden, full stock (repairs). Brass and iron mounts, butt-plate with traces of numbering, the bands with remains of stamps, one marked with arrow and bow. Iron ramrod. length 134,5 cm.
