A pair of Victorian ruby glass table lustres Each of similar design with circular spreading bases extending to a basal knopped stem and terminating at a circular lobed bowl with scalloped gilt rim suspending a series of cut glass arrow form drops, each typically enamelled to the exterior sides with burnished gilt and opaque pink and white floral enamel designs, each mounted on an ebonised pedestal base, (one with glass dome), 35.5cm high. (2) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 1750: A pair, the first one gilt rim bright, gilt and white enamel frieze bright paint thick, gilt to the circular plinth base rubbed, some scratching to the enamel leaves on the bell shaped base, all glass pendant droppers in tact and good condition. The second one rim in good condition, gilt in good condition to rim, gilt and white enamel to frieze good condition, minor scratches to the gilt on the central baluster stem, minor scratches to the leaf and white enamel frieze on the bell shaped base, minor rubbing on the gilt rim (only minor on this lustre) each with plinths, some rubbing to the red velvet, some supports to plinth possibly replaced with one glass dome only, in good condition.

A good Victorian gilt brass mounted mahogany chiming table clock, "Dent London" English circa 1880 with a 19cm dial signed on a plaque, Dent, London with Roman and Arabic numerals with blued steel scrolling hands, leaf and shell spandrels and subsidiary dials in the arch for chime/silent, slow fast and chime on eight bells and Westminster, the massive three train fusee and chain movement with anchor escapement and chiming on eight bells or four gongs with a further hour gong the bell/top case with five vase shape finials applied with a crisply cast gilt brass mounts with a vase of blooms and scrolling leaves the arched door with a bevelled glass, leaf and arrow cast mounts flanked by canted angles applied with figural leafy well cast mounts, the sides with gilt brass fretwork panels depicting a classical figure amongst pendent blooms and leafy scrolls, the back door with a panel pierced with quatrefoil's and roundels raised upon a plinth base with gilt metal mounts, leaf and paw feet. 73cms high x 41x30cms, with substantial winding key, and pendulum (illustrated) NB: See Britten's old clock and watches and their makers, 1986, page 423, Edward John Dent is listed at 61 Strand from 1851 to his death in 1853, and Frederick Dent from 1853 until his death in 1860 (upon his death the name continued until (1864) by 1867 the firm had become E Dent & Company. The firm Dent of London is recognised as the makers of "Big Ben" the main clock in the tower of the House of Parliament. Surface generally somewhat flat and thin in places from restoration processes. Strengthening to the outline of the parrot, tendrils of the boys hair, arrow, parts of the definition/ folds of the drapery etc. Splitting to the paint in darker areas giving a texture to the surface. Bloom like material in evidence forming/ showing in a large spaced cracquelure like arrangement. Covered in a layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. Rubbing to edges etc.

A Very Rare Automatic Centre Seconds Royal Navy Military Issue Diver's Wristwatch, signed Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, 660ft=200m, model: Submariner, ref: 5513, made in 1972 and issued in 1975, (calibre 1520) lever movement, black dial with luminous dagger, dot and baton markers, sword hands, painted with a T within a circle, screw down winding crown, 60-minute marker revolving bezel, fixed bars, screw back engraved with the Ministry of Defence number 0552/923-7697 430/75 broad arrow, inside case back numbered 5513 and the case serial number 3926951, dated I.72, 42mm wide, later stainless steel bracelet with a deployant fliplock clasp numbered 62523H Nicknamed ''milsubs'' by the collectors these military Submariners are one of the most collectable divers' watches on the market. The Royal Navy ordered a series of watches from Rolex and issued them to their specialist divers. These watches have several distinctive features: the painted T within a circle on the dial (international symbol for Tritium); sword shape hands which can be seen clearly under low light conditions; inside the case back engraved with a serial and reference number; and outside the case back engraved with the Ministry of Defence issue number. This watch was made in the first month of 1972 and issued in 1975. 10.03.15, Case with surface scratches, case sides and lugs with small dents, case back engraved with the Ministry of Defence numbers, bezel with minor scratches and very minor discolouring, bezel 12 o'clock triangular marker with luminous missing, crown is winding down correctly, later bracelet, fixed bars have been changed to attach the new bracelet, plexi glass with scratches and minor chips which is noticeable under an eyeglass, dial in good condition, hands with slight staining marks, movement is clean, in going order.

An Art Deco Diamond Jabot Pin, by Cartier, the arrow head formed of a pear cut diamond in a pierced surround to a border of a baguette cut and round brilliant cut diamonds in white claw settings, on a plain pin, with a diamond set stopper, total diamond weight 3.50 carat approximately, measures 5.4cm by 2.1cm, in a pink Cartier case Provenance: Tennants Auctioneers 2009 This is in good condition. The pear cut diamond is held to the outer frame by four claws - two of which are no longer joined to the frame. It bears no hallmark, but in our opinion it would test as platinum. The reverse of the stopper is marked with an indistinct letter - possibly J or T, and slightly obliterated numbers which seem to be 581. The pear cut diamond measures 9.7mm x 5.6mm x 3.7mm = 1.20ct approximately. The approximate colour is K/L, and clarity VS1/VS2. The approximate qualities of the residual diamonds are; colour G/H/I, clarity VS1/VS2/SI1. Gross weight 6.2 grams. CR made 1st June 2015

A Rare Military Pilot's Stainless Steel Centre Seconds Wristwatch, signed International Watch Co, Mark XI, circa 1946, (calibre 89) lever movement stamped with a broad arrow and numbered 1162686, dust cover, black dial with luminous baton and Arabic numerals, broad arrow, luminous hands, screw back engraved with the broad arrow and military issue marks 6B/346 1750/48, fixed bars between the lugs, 35mm wide The IWC Mark XI watch was issued to the Royal Air Force and was designed for active service. This example was issued in 1948. 05.06.15, Case with surface scratches, case sides, bezel and the lugs with small dents, bezel with deeper cut mark positioned at 8 o'clock, bezel with other smaller dents, later bracelet, plexi glass with scratches and cracks, original finished dial is clean, luminous baton markers have faded, movement needs cleaning, movement is fully wound, balance staff is broken, movement not working.
