A German made telescope dated 1913, given to Mdn Phipps-Hornby who carried it in the action on HMS Chester at Jutland.(His medals were sold by Lawrences in recent years). Boy Cornwall won his famous VC whilst serving on this ship at Jutland.Voigtlander & Sohn A-G.Br-weig from E M C 1913, engraved on barrel, lens cap. Also a barometer presented to him in 1948.
