UK Double-Crown poster for "Diamonds Are Forever" (1971). This poster format was produced in much smaller quantities than the corresponding Quad poster. The poster illustration presents a close-up image of Bond and the two women that feature on the Quad. The original Robert McGinnis artwork was deemed to be too risqué and he reworked his composition to raise the girl's hand from Bond's lower abdomen. This rare poster remains in excellent order.20" x 30" (51 x 76 cm)Condition: ExcellentUnrestored and folded with two extra light vertical folds 1 1/2" in from the left/right outside edges. These posters were produced in small numbers only and it is rare to find a complete set such as this. Both 20" x 30" (51 x 76 cm)Condition: ExcellentUnrestored, folded and in excellent condition.Artist: Yves Thos£2000 - 3000VAT Status: M

This variant first release One-Sheet shows Bond at the top of the poster with his fuel tank cropped by the green border and at the bottom the blonde's right leg extends past the reclining woman. We believe that the "Partial" One-Sheet version is scarcer than the "Full Jetpack" alternative.27" x 41" (69 x 104 cm)Condition: ExcellentUnrestored, folded with a couple of small creases to upper/lower right but otherwise this poster remains in superb condition.Artist: Robert McGinnis and Frank McCarthy£700 - 1000VAT Status: M

Lot 48

UK Quad poster for "Casino Royale" (1967). Although the film lacked Sean Connery and clearly spoofed the James Bond series, Bond poster artist Robert McGinnis supplied the poster graphics. Lot 325

US 30x40 "Popular Science" poster for "You Only Live Twice" (1967). This is a rare Bond poster. In June 1967 "Popular Science" featured the James Bond "Little Nellie" on its magazine cover with an in depth scientific review inside. By 1967 the James Bond films were already associated with interesting "hi-tech" gadgetry, so the academic coverage by "Popular Science" provided an excellent marketing opportunity. The resulting 30x40 poster is an official movie poster but was produced in very limited numbers and we believe this is the first example to be offered in the auction market.30" x 40" (76 x 102 cm)Condition: GoodUnrestored with a single horizontal fold line, various small tape repairs to edge tears (longest 2" on left rim) with very minor paper loss, general creasing, staple marks to rim/corners and an area of surface paper loss to upper reverse which does NOT affect the imagery to the front.Artist: Unknown Artist£400 - 600VAT Status: M
