Overall in very good condition.

The diamonds are relatively bright and lively. The mount has light surface wear mainly to the back of the shank where there is a small join mark. Overall very good condition.

An Antique Georgian 'Au Firmament' Ring,circa 1790, the large navette plaque with purple foiled Strass glass panel set with winding cut-down collet clear paste surrounded by a border of clear paste, on trifurcated shoulders with closed back settings, unmarked mount tests as 15ct yellow gold topped with silver, panel 39.9 x 20.5mm size M, 11.5g . Condition Report: The paste stones are all present and some have been replace with more modern cuts, mostly all are heavily worn and a few have heavy chips. The glass panel has a faint 9mm crack near one tip, otherwise a good deep purple colour. The mount has general wear commensurate with age, along with a few minor dents on the close backing. Overall good condition.

Dickens (Charles).- Public Dinner to William Charles Macready, Esq. on his Retirement from the Stage, On Saturday, March 1st, 1851, Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton, Bart., in the Chair, ticket, printed both sides on card, facsimile signature of Charles Dickens, ticket no. crossed through and "Peter Rackham" added in a contemporary hand, light toning, 1851; and 2 others, a programme for the Charles Dickens Bazaar, 1888 and the Yushudo Booksellers 1977 facsimile of A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist, v.s. (3)*** The first a charming Dickens rarity, to raise funds for the author's friend, the actor William Charles Macready. Peter Rackham was a long-standing wealthy friend of Dickens', often willing to fund charitable ventures such as this. The stewards listed on the reverse, other than Dickens and Lytton, include Charles Babbage, Douglas Jerrold, Charles Knight, Sir Edwin Landseer, Alfred Tennyson and W. M. Thackeray.
