Ireland.- Stafford (Thomas) Pacata Hibernia. Ireland Appeased and Reduced..., 2 engraved portrait frontispieces, folding map and 17 other maps, plates and plans (1 folding and 16 double-page), first frontispiece outer margin repaired and lower margin trimmed ?from another copy, second frontispiece and title inner margins repaired, title slightly creased, maps and plates trimmed to plate mark, browned, ink inscription: "Bibliotheca Colbertina" at head of title, later ink signature of Berkeley Vincent on fly-leaf, latedr endpapers, 19th century morocco, gilt, gilt panelled spine, g.e., Printed by A[ugustine] M[athewes], 1633.⁂ Provenance: Jean-Baptiste Colbert, (1619-83), the French statesman hired by Cardinal Mazarin to look after his financial affairs. The Bibliotheca Colbertina was the library owned successively by Jean Baptiste Colbert de Torcy, Jacques Nicolas Colbert, Archbishop of Rouen (1655-1707), and Charles Eleonor Colbert, Comte de Seignely (d.1747). The Colbert Library was sold in Paris in 1728.Brigadier-General Sir Berkeley Vincent, KBE, CB, CMG (4 December 1871-1963) was a British Army officer and sportsman.

(c. 10).
An Art Deco Natural 4.2 ct Royal Blue Burmese Sapphire and Diamond Ring. Set in platinum the vivid blue oval sapphire measures approx 9.3 x 8.1 x 6.0 mm; flanked by two baguette-cut diamonds with a brilliant cut diamond surround and shoulders.Total diamond weight approx 1.0 ct, size M, approx 6.8 gms. GCS Certificate number 78146-91, dated 12/03/2018 stating the sapphire to be of Burmese origin with no indications of heating.
Two extremely rare bound copies of Moss prints, c.1829, both titled 'Guernsey & Jersey Views', pub. M. Moss. Bookseller, Guernsey, the largest with 49 plates and map of Guernsey, by artists such as T. Compton; P. Le Lievre; Geo. Bernard; G. S. Shepard etc., the smaller bound copy with 40 plates, mostly by G. Barnard & printed by Day & Haghe, lithographers to the Queen, calf with marble boards. (2)* Condition: Boards on both with corner and edge damage, foxing throughout but plates/prints barely affected, overall fair/good condition.

Benson of London, hallmarked London 1912, 47mm. diameter case with Royal blue enamel Roman chapter ring to front of case, white Roman enamel dial signed 'J. W. Benson London', gilt double spade hands, subsidiary seconds dial at six, hand engraved monogram to back case, the three quarter plate lever movement signed 'A6282 Best London Make To H. M. The Queen J. W. Benson Ludgate Hill London'.* Condition: Winds and works briefly but then stops. Will require servicing and possibly repair. Minor losses from blue enamel to fine line around case chapter ring. Small scratches to glass. Two tiny dings to top of case back. Small nicks and scratches around thumbpiece on case back from use of tools to open. Dial good with no hairlines. Slight scuffing to sub. seconds dial from contact with hand.
A photograph album entitled 'Palestine & Syria December 1940, January 1941', including photos of Christmas Eve in Bethlehem, Beersheba, Nazareth, Tiberias, El Arish, Cairo mosques, Egyptian interiors, Luxor and Wadi Halfa, 31 x 40cm and a scrap album documenting the journey by Miss M. Haigh leaving London on 17.09.1909 for Bombay on the S.S.Arabia, which was eventually sunk by a German U-boat torpedo en route from Sydney and Adelaide to Gibraltar, Marseilles and London, including photos, postcards, military Christmas cards, menus, letters, magazines etc., 32.5 x 26cm and other ephemera.

Repair to claws. Commensurate with age. Old European cut, early 20th century setting. Clarity - Approximately I1/I2. Colour approximately 'L'. After looking into the size further the carat is approximately 1.25.Ring size M.
