1879 November 9, large part registered piece from Jammu to Calcutta bearing 1878-79 4a red and 1879 ½a red (SG 116, 126) tied by Jammu barred cancellations in combination with India 1866-78 4a green alongside tied by framed Sialkot registered cachet, small framed "TOO LATE" handstamp and Calcutta arrival cds, attractive and a scarce usage, on reverse m/s notation in red ink by Masson citing Evans. 1882 April 9, India ½a blue postal stationery envelope with circular 'L' in bars cancellation from Srinagar to Lakkanwal franked on reverse 1879 ¼a red (SG 125) horizontal pair tied by the same cancellation, alongside Kashmir datestamp of April 9 and arrival datestamp of April 13, both adhesives with m/s endorsements, fine and unusual

Leh: 1885 August 31 India ½a green postal stationery envelope from Leh to Hoshiarpur franked on reverse 1883-94 ¼a brown horizontal pair (SG 141) tied by Leh cds's, arrival datestamp alongside, some soiling and gum stains otherwise fine, also small piece being the right side of a similar postal stationery envelope with 1879 imperforate ½a red (SG 126) from position 8 with Leh cds and another small piece dated in m/s '1885' bearing India 1882 -90 ½a blue-green in combination with bisected 1879 ½a red from position 4 (SG 126a) both tied by Leh cds's of June 10, this catalogued £9,500 when on cover or postcard, an intriguing piece and therefore necessarily offered 'as is'
Tavi: 1891 January and February, pair of India ½a green postal stationery envelopes each uprated on reverse by 1883-94 ½a (SG146/7 respectively) tied by barred cancellations and m/s pen strokes, used from Jammu to Amritsar and Rawalpindi and showing fine and good strikes of the scarce Tavi-Jammu State small squared circle cancellation applied in transit, both covers opened out for display, nevertheless good condition and a scarce pair
Postal Forgeries: 1890 January 23 and September 5, pair of covers from the same correspondence from Srinagar to Lahore with address in English, each franked on reverse by a single example of the postal forgery of the 1883-94 ½a orange in watercolour on thin wove and vertically laid paper respectively and tied by m/s ink strokes and "L" in circle of bars cancellation with despatch and delivery cds's alongside, as Indian stamps were not affixed for external postage each has a small framed "POSTAGE DUE/ONE ANNA" handstamp on face, a fine, attractive and scarce pair of covers.
