Van der Koelen L 9606. - Eines von 25 Exemplaren. - Druck bei Dieter Bela, Berlin. Hrsg. Verlag Gerhard Wolf Janus press, Berlin 1996. 12 works. Each etching on Hahnemühle wove paper (with watermark). Each signed and dated- Each loose in original cover, in original linen wing box. - Only very isolated very slight handling-/ crease mark ot faint small stain, box on the outside with few faint (finger) stains, one wing on the inside with tear, all in all very good and impeccably fine. Throughout splendid, wonderfully nuanced impressions with expressive plate rework, with narrow margin at top and bottom, there with deckle edge. - One of 25 copies. - Print by Dieter Bela, Berlin. Publ. by Verlag Gerhard Wolf Janus press, Berlin 1996. - From the portfolio "Medea". - Prints in regards to Christa Wolfs novel of the same name. - In this cycle Uecker does not work on the plates with an etching plate but in his own way with a hatchet and pick in a spontaneous process. The prints are juxtaposed with voices from Christa Wolf's novel and form the artist's response to a contemporary text based on an archetypal model.
