The top is surmounted by a carved oak leaf and acorn pediment dated 1896 and the initials T K S relating to Thomas Sledge who made the cabinet and completed it in 1896 aged 71 years old - Provenance to base of centre drawer - This bookcase was removed from a Cambridge College - Height 2.34 m x Width 1.9 m x Depth 59 cm
