Casino chips were used at Le Casino L'or Noir, which was owned by Valentin Zukovsky, an old enemy of James Bond (Pierce Brosnan). While at the casino, King lost a million dollars in a one-card high-low draw. This lot includes King's cheque, which features her name, the amount of "one million" and the date "7/12/99" all handwritten in black pen. When Bond (Pierce Brosnan) confronted Valentin Zukovsky (Robbie Coltrane) at his caviar factory, pots could be seen sitting on a shelf. These pots fell to the floor when Bond slammed Zukovsky into the shelf. The glass pots have metal lids that feature the red Zukovsky caviar company sticker labels. They are permanently sealed, and some contain imitation caviar. JAMES BOND: DIE ANOTHER DAY (2002) - Gustav Graves' (Toby Stephens) Hero HeadsetGustav Graves' (Toby Stephens) hero headset from Lee Tamahori's Bond film Die Another Day. The headset was part of an exoskeleton that Graves used to control the Icarus orbital solar weapon. Made primarily of grey resin, the headset consists of a headband with a foam pad at the front and an adjustable Velcro strip at the rear. Translucent frameless double lenses are connected to the headband via a hinge, and a separate clear plastic housing contains rectangular screen inserts. It features several electrical wires, which extend around the headset's nose bridge and connect to the front and sides of the headband. The headset is contained in a grey briefcase in two sections that were combined for use in the film, and minor elements such as screws are absent. The lot exhibits minor signs of wear and sympathetic restoration, and its functionality is untested. Bond threw the manual in the air, causing the car's automatic machine guns to destroy it. ALIENS (1986) - Uplink Tower Model MiniatureAn uplink tower model miniature from James Cameron's sci-fi action sequel Aliens. The colony of Hadley's Hope was created in model miniature form, and included an uplink tower. Different scales of Hadley's Hope were produced and this was made for the distance shots as the Marines approached the planet.The miniature is made primarily of resin and plastic, with biscuit foam pieces around the base of the legs. It is hand-painted and intentionally distressed to appear weather-beaten and rusted. The model has some wear from production use and age, most notably paint wear which reveals the resin underneath. Some smaller sections have come away, and others have been fixed since production. JOHN CARTER (2012) - Hero Zodangan GunA hero Zodangan gun from Andrew Stanton's sci-fi action film John Carter. After being transported to Mars, Civil War veteran John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) became embroiled in a war between the cities of Zodanga and Helium.The Zodangan gun has a hand-carved wooden stock, grip and handguard attached to a metal shaft and barrel. Dual perpendicular wooden faux drum magazines are located at the gun's midpoint, each displaying a patterned gold-coloured resin face. The gun also has a gold-coloured resin trigger guard, a leather buckle strap and a faux bolt handle. The barrel and metal shaft exhibit rusting, but the lot remains in good overall condition. Civil War veteran John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) was imprisoned by green-skinned warriors called Tharks, who wielded axe swords.The axe sword has a hand-carved wooden grip, around which a brown leather strap is wrapped. The blade is made of silver resin and has a curved edge that is dulled for safety. The sheath is made of brown faux leather. String is threaded through holes along its length and it has a rectangular handle at its midpoint. Both the grip and the sheath display engravings exhibiting an astronomical motif. The axe sword has a robust and weighty feel. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (1971) - Production ClapperboardA clapperboard from the production of Norman Jewison's multi-Oscar®-winning period musical Fiddler on the Roof. Designed especially for the movie, this unique lot was provided by the film's clapper loader Tony Woodcock (uncredited). The clapperboard features a metal hinge and a wooden clapper and slate, its contents applied in white stencil. The slate features the movie title, with the names of director Jewison and director of photography Oswald Morris. White adhesive tape displays the shoot day as 14.02.71. Several lower sliders reveal further information, including "Night", "Mute", "Sound" and "Track". Four pages of technical notes are taped to the back of the clapperboard.The lot includes a hinged wooden bottom flap used to assist the music editor. This features "PB", which stands for playback, and "SM", which stands for start mark. The clapperboard exhibits signs of wear commensurate with its age, including inflexible sliders, paint erosion, scuffs and divots. JURASSIC PARK FRANCHISE (1993 - 2022) - Raptor ClawA raptor claw from the Jurassic Park film series. The velociraptors used their claws to hunt the park's visitors after escaping their fortified pen and were a constant source of terror throughout the series. This curved raptor claw is made out of hollow cast resin with a foam toe tip. It has been delicately hand-painted in brown tones. The claw comes presented in a foam-lined silver display case. A small nick is present at the tip of the claw, and the foam has begun to deteriorate with minor cracking from age. JURASSIC WORLD (2015) - Jurassic Park RaincoatA Jurassic Park raincoat from Colin Trevorrow's sci-fi action sequel Jurassic World. Old park raincoats were hung around the derelict Jurassic Park visitor centre, where Zach (Nick Robinson) and Gray (Ty Simpkins) discovered an old park jeep. Raincoats were worn by key characters in Steven Spielberg's original Jurassic Park and were repurposed and intentionally weathered for this production. ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE (2021) - Pair of Ares (David Thewlis) Soldier HelmetsA pair of Ares (David Thewlis) soldier helmets from the superhero film Zack Snyder's Justice League. Ares' soldiers wore helmets as they repelled the Parademons' first invasion of Earth. The helmets are made of moulded hardened rubber, with dual leather cheek guards. One helmet is slightly larger than the other and features a leather neck guard. The helmet shells are painted brown to resemble leather and they feature raised silver-coloured sections around the rim and across the top to resemble metal plates. A pair of curved, ridged, light-green-painted rubber horns protrude from the sides of each helmet, which also feature silver-coloured circular resin accents, resembling rivets. Both helmets have internal padding, and one has a leather chin strap fastened by metal clasps. The lot has been intentionally distressed for the production. KRULL (1983) - Bardolph's (Dicken Ashworth) Hero Dagger and ScabbardBardolph's (Dicken Ashworth) hero dagger and scabbard from Peter Yates' sci-fi fantasy film Krull. Bardolph was impaled by wooden spikes as he tried to retrieve his dagger in the Black Fortress. The dagger has a curved steel blade and oval cross guards. Its handle is made of resin, and features a black-and-gold-coloured criss-cross pattern and a waved grip. The scabbard has a reptile-skin body, a brown resin spine and a holed chape, with a resin whetstone clasped to one edge. The blade exhibits rust spots, and one of the scabbard clasps is damaged, but the lot is otherwise in good condition. LABYRINTH (1986) - Humongous MaquetteA Humongous maquette from the production of Jim Henson's musical fantasy film Labyrinth. A mechanical Humongous attacked Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) during her quest to rescue her infant half-brother from the Goblin King (David Bowie). Maquettes were used by the visual effects department as master reference for colour matching. Made of foam rubber, the maquette depicts the fearsome Humongous robot with its spiked armour. The film's robot traversed the Goblin City gate, so this piece exhibits a vertical groove along its centre, with dual pull-rings on its stomach. It has been intricately painted to replicate the look of rusty iron. The surface paint is cracked and a horn is missing from the head.
