THOMAS WHALEN ARSA (1903-75) EVE Carved teak, signed Note; Thomas Whalen was born in Leith in 1903. He worked in a variety of medium however perhaps his most regarded architectural sculpture were reliefs on the Electricity Board Offices, 130 George Street, Edinburgh (1960-4). He exhibited at the RSA 1930-76, and was elected ARSA 1940, and RSA 1954.
