A George III pine breakfront cupboard bookcase of small proportions, with architectural pediment above three "Window Pane" glazed doors over fielded panel cupboard doors, on shaped bracket feet, 160 cm overall width x 196 cm overall height x 36 cm overall depth.Condition report: Would have possibly been Chinoiserie lacquered or painted cream and the interior painted mint green (the green remains on the interior of the upper section doors.slight knocks and blemishes consistent with age.Two old patches one on the central door and one on the left hand side see imagesA slight twist on the central door.The lower section is fitted with two shelves each to the flanking cupboards and one to the central cupboard.

The plaque reads 'Freiwillige Feuerwehr Weeze freiwillige' above the dates 1874 -1974, in the centre an image of a plane is encircled with the words 'Royal Air Force Weeze Laarbruch', with architectural images to either side, possible artist monogram (lower right), width 29.5 cm Provenance: the plaque was presented to the fire service (RAF) at RAF Laarbruch, Germany, the current owner worked at the base and chose the plaque as their momentum when the station closed in 1999

A UNIQUELY PRESENTED JACOBITE BANKNOTE PRINT AFTER SIR ROBERT STRANGE, PRINTED BY EDINBURGH PRINT MAKERS 2021 ON BEHALF OF WEST HIGHLAND MUSEUM, FRAME BY PETER DAVIS CABINET MAKER FORT WILLIAMThe print taken from the original 1746 copper plate engraved by Robert Strange, showing four banknotes one penny, two pence, three pence and six pence denominations, with four others left blank, the central motif of intertwined initials CP within a rococo cartouche with thistle emanating and surmounted by crowned Prince of Wales Feathers, with trophy of arms behind, raised on an architectural plinth. Contained in a handmade beach wood frame, numbered 1 of 22 and signedTaken from an original relic of the 45‘, this contemporary print continues the Jacobite tradition of fundraising for their Cause, yet this time all proceeds raised will help fund the cause of the West Highland Museum in Fort William. This print is the first of twenty-two in total, produced by the Edinburgh Print Makers in 2021 to mark the 100th Anniversary of the Museum itself, in an effort to raise funds for an exciting re-development and conservation plan; Lyon & Turnbull are delighted to help with the sale of this remarkable piece.
Phyllis Pearsall, Farmstead, and The Duck Pond, monogrammed, oil on board, each 17x24.5cm; and an architectural study watercolour by the same hand.Footnote: Phyllis Pearsall (1906-1996) was an artist all of her life, but her main success came as the founder of the now infamous 'London A-Z' in the 1930s at the age of just 17. She claimed to have walked every street making detailed notes of the city's growing roads. In later life she moved to Shoreham-on-Sea, continuing her love of drawing and sketching.
