QUARTER-CAPITAL FROM MASSACHUSETTS STATE HOUSE - Carved Wood Corinthian Quarter Capital from the Massachusetts State House in Boston, the original Charles Bulfinch design, built 1795-1798, these pine components replaced with iron in the 1960s, 31 1/2" tall, 21 1/2" square, weathered, cracked, bits missing. Still, a unique piece of American architectural history. From the Marvin Sadik Collection.
OOB - `City of Suzdal; Architectural Monument` by Aleksey Alekseevich Shishin (Russian, 1924-1986), signed lr and dated `80, inscribed verso in Cyrillic, and with English translation, depicting the Antipius and Lazarus Church in one of the oldest towns in Russia, in gold molded frame, SS: 11 3/4" x 15 1/4", OS: 15 1/4" x 18 3/4", fine condition.
(2) OLD MASTERS INK DRAWINGS - Architectural Ink Drawings with Washes, including: Ancient Dungeon with Two Figures, in walnut molded frame with gilt liner, matted and glazed, SS: 7" x 10", OS: 12 3/4" x 15 1/2", good condition; PLUS Studies of Three Corbel Cartouches, in single gold molded stick frame, with three-window French-lined mat, glazed, SS: 3" square each, OS: 16 3/4" x 8", stained corners from mounts.
MONUMENTAL BRONZE SCONCE - Magnificent Belle Epoch Solid Bronze Winged Gargoyle Architectural Mount, fitted with a gas jet in the mouth and having a curled tail to hold a flagpole, in remnants of the original gold finish, excepting the nipples and teeth, roughly 38" x 30" x 14", some corrosion, verdigris, nice age patina.

MONUMENTAL LITHOGRAPH - `Geta and Caracalla`, 1907, by Lawrence Alma-Tadema (Dutch-English, 1836-1912), the Victorian Romanticist made famous by his depictions of Classical Roman life, pencil signed lower left, printed by Stiefbold & Co of Boston for Arthur Tooth of London, depicting the brothers who co-ruled Rome at the Colosseum. Housed in the original magnificent gilt architectural frame, with dimensional mat, glazed, image size: 25" x 31", OS: 46 1/2" x 49", fine condition, small loss to cornice on left side.
A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY STEREOSCOPE AND PHOTOGRAPH VIEWER with fret-work card holder, the removable stereoscope viewer and hinged magnifier on a hinged adjustable platform. 29cm x 17cm; sold along with thirty nine stereoscope cards. (Niagara Falls, architectural, interiors etc) Viewer generally in good condition for age, cards with foxing and discolouration.

* Chevalier d`Eon. Charlotte - Genevieve - Louise - Auguste - Andree - Thimothee d`Eon de Beaumont, c.1780s, a pair of uncoloured engraved head and shoulders portraits of the Chevalier d`Eon engraved by J.B. Bradel, each on laid paper with an engraved title and architectural border, one showing him dressed in the uniform of a dragoon, the other dressed as a woman, the former trimmed to image, each 35 x 22cm (13.75 x 8.75ins), contained in double window mount. The Chevalier d`Eon (1728-1810) was a French diplomat, soldier and spy who lived the final 33 years of his life as a woman. (2)
