A late 19c single fusee wall clock, the 12 flat iron dial signed Maple & Co Ltd, London and having Roman numerals and spade hands and a cast brass bezel. It is contained in an architectural case of stained hardwood with a pointed arched top and flat fluted pilasters flanking the dial and a concave shaped bracket base. The clock is 27 tall overall.
A late 19c/early 20c Chinese burr wood folio box, the hinge cover inlaid with bats and central and architectural motif, 11 x 6, together with a perpetual date calendar, shield shaped black lacquered and inlaid with mother o'pearl figures and coastal scenes. This calendar was for a number of years at the College Ning Po, and was corrected daily by the house servant 10.5h.
