Tread provided with trapezoid mounts, falling and oblique, with raised lateral borders and cylindrical spacer, chiselled with spirals. Triangular external bands, framed with a big, rectangular mount, with round corners to protect the hips of the horse, and with a big loop for the strap. External surface engraved with floral motifs. dimensions 19.4 x 39.5 x 6.3 cm.
dating: 16th Century provenance: Mexico, In iron, forged in the national Mexican foundry, stamped 'M'. Tread provided with long, trapezoid mounts, falling and oblique, with raised lateral borders and with pierced spacer. Lateral bands slightly inclined outwards, framed with a big, rectangular hilt, provided with four, bronze balls to protect the hips of the horse, and with big loop for the strap, other four rivets above the lateral bands. All the external surface finely chiselled with animals among garlands and floral motifs in bass-relief. dimensions 27.2 x 44 x 7.5 cm.

The Bibliotheca Colbertina was the library owned successively by Jean Baptiste Colbert de Torcy, Jacques Nicolas Colbert, Archbishop of Rouen (1655-1707), and Charles Eleonor Colbert, Comte de Seignely (d.1747). The Colbert Library was sold in Paris in 1728.Brigadier-General Sir Berkeley Vincent, KBE, CB, CMG (4 December 1871-1963) was a British Army officer and sportsman.

Set in platinum the vivid blue oval sapphire measures approx 9.3 x 8.1 x 6.0 mm; flanked by two baguette-cut diamonds with a brilliant cut diamond surround and shoulders.Total diamond weight approx 1.0 ct, size M, approx 6.8 gms. GCS Certificate number 78146-91, dated 12/03/2018 stating the sapphire to be of Burmese origin with no indications of heating.
