1995 BMW M3 Coupé (E36) Transmission: automaticMileage:67000Hagerty describes this specific model as 'The BMW that cemented the winning formula for the M3' with the E36 replacing the E30 in 1995. The US Spec M3 doesn't have the full fat M3 engine and Hagerty says 'I'm here to say that's a good thing'. If you look back through history, no repairs bills, the US spec M3 'is the one to have'. A civilised high performance road car that dramatically outperforms any other 3 series. Oh! and the cylinder head comes from none other than a McLaren F1 racing car. Performance is only down by one to two tenths of a second on the 'full fat' M3 to 60 mph. The E36 has won numerous accolades spanning 15 years with the best car magazines in the world. Under the bonnet, the E36 M3 is powered by a 3.0 litre inline-six engine, producing 240 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. It is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox as standard, with an optional six-speed manual gearbox available on later models or an automatic option. No snap oversteer here, which is a BMW handling feature. This early, left hand drive 1995 BMW E36 M3 Coupé is fitted with the rare automatic gearbox and privacy glass, was imported from Japan in March 2022 and is supplied with a good Japanese service history. Recent work carried out in the UK includes a service, refreshed brake calipers with upgraded Brembo pads, HID light upgrade, new Toyo Proxes tyres, a new MoT test certificate which expires in March 2024 and a new Pioneer Apple head unit. Finished in black with black leather interior with M Sport decals, this M3 is supplied with a V5C registration document and a file containing the Japanese service history and a photographic record of restoration works undertaken. The BMW E36 M3 Coupé is an impressive sports car that offers exceptional performance and a stylish design. This example is 9/10 on every aspect, the gearbox is silky smooth, handling is sublime and performance is progressively rapid and on demand. This is a car you will want in your collection and no list of work needing to be done.
1956 Jaguar Mk. I Transmission: manualMileage:21652Launched in 1955, the Mk. I extended Jaguar's domination of the high-performance car market in Britain, slotting neatly into the Coventry firm's range alongside the big Mk. VII M saloon and the XK140 sports car. The medium size newcomer broke new ground for Jaguar, being its first model to employ unitary construction of the chassis/body. Jaguar's engineers were understandably cautious in their approach, making the bodyshell stronger than in fact it needed to be and employing rubber mountings just about everywhere to insulate occupants from vibration and noise. The Mk. I was released with a new, short stroke, 2.4 litre version of the proven XK 'six', but demands for more power, especially from American customers, prompted the introduction of the 3.4 litre version early in 1957. With 190bhp on tap the 3.4 litre Mk. I was good for a top speed of 120mph and could reach 60mph in nine seconds, though if used to the full, this greatly improved performance severely taxed the drum brakes. All-round disc brakes were hurriedly announced as an option, becoming an almost universal fitting thereafter. The Mk. I was progressively updated throughout its life before a wholesale revision of the basic design saw it re-launched as the Mk. II in October 1959.Originally registered on 12th June 1956 this example is presented in black with red leather interior and is formerly the property of motoring journalist John Deverall. A significant amount of work has been carried out on this Jaguar over the years including new sills, jacking points and front floor. Most of the brightwork has been re-chromed by Silva Bronz Ltd in Hampshire and the headlining has been replaced as have the carpets and door cards. The wood within the car, of which there is plenty, presents well. A stainless-steel exhaust system has been fitted and this 2.4 litre Jaguar sits on a set of Michelin tyres. We are advised the brakes are operational although not particularly convincing and may require some attention. Supplied with a V5C registration document, together with the original buff logbook together with a collection of invoices and receipts. These beautifully sculptured Jaguars are becoming increasingly collectable.
2006 BMW M6 Coupé Transmission: automaticMileage:95800The first generation M6 was critically acclaimed throughout its lifespan for its elegant, aggressive 'shark-nose' styling, luxury equipment and performance. A top speed of 158mph made the European M635CSi the second fastest BMW ever built, next to the M1. The new BMW M6 Concept made its debut at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. It shared the same 5.0 litre, V10 engine and SMG III gearbox as the E60 M5 and produced 500bhp. BMW claimed it accelerated from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds. In February 2006, Road and Track measured the 0-60mph time as 4.1 seconds. The top speed was limited to 155mph however, it was reported that the de-limited top speed was 205mph with the optional M-driver's package. This stunning M6 is finished in silver with black, full extended, Merino leather upholstery and was first registered on 14th January 2006 costing in excess of £80,000 from new. Purchased from BMW Stratstone and owned until 2011 when our vendor purchased the car from his boss, the car at this point had been serviced through the BMW network only and was described as immaculate. Our vendor, who has now owned the car for over a decade has cherished it and the service history boasts a further six service stamps in the original booklet from well-known BMW specialist Munich Motors, all with accompanying invoices, the last in October 2021. The car is fully loaded, the M6 had nearly every option available from new but, specified was also Bluetooth telephone preparation and high beam assist which coupled to head-up display, heated memory seats and more, made this not only a weapon but one loaded with luxuries. The wheels have recently been refurbished and the paintwork is near unmarked due to a refresh in 2020 for stone chips. Offered with a year's MoT test certificate, not only is this an incredibly capable sportscar with one of the most sought-after modern engines but the BMW V10 is a comfortable car that you could live with every day, this is partly why they were so popular with Directors and business owners, using them to waft up and down the motorway network in comfort and style.
1927 MG Morris Oxford 14/40 Super Sports Special Transmission: manualMileage:24249Conceived and built in the truest sense of the classic coachbuilt motorcar, this 1927-vintage model uses the chassis, engine and drivetrain from a Morris Oxford as the genesis and inspiration by the previous owner, Beverley Hicks, to create this Super Sports Special, scaled up from a 1928 M-Type, the genesis MG from the Kimber factory. The initial drawings can still be seen in the comprehensive history file as well as the photographic progress of the build. With a beautifully constructed aluminium bonnet and scuttle and a complementing rear fabric-covered boat tail section which houses a stainless steel fuel tank and a surprisingly spacious luggage compartment, this complexly bespoke motorcar was ready for the road in 2003. The smooth 1.8 Litre engine has a Ricardo-type cylinder head, a lightened flywheel, a dyno-driven magneto and a Kenlowe electric fan, all of which are driven through a Morris four-speed gearbox sourced from an MG P-Type. The engine has been completely rebuilt with bills to go with it and has covered few miles since. The interior is trimmed in red leather with custom-made matching carpets alongside a handy double tonneau cover and hood. This sturdy MG-Morris has taken part in numerous competitions and trials with many photographs, magazine cut-outs and entrance forms accompanying the history file. Two brand-new spare tyres and accompanying inner tubes plus regulatory fire extinguisher etc. to make the car VSCC compliant for speed trial/hill climbs accompany the car as well as a file of original design drawings and circuit diagrams. A totally original copy of 'The Morris Oxford & Cowley Car Manual' from 1927, and 'Morris Bullnose & Flatnose 11.9 & 13.9hp Power Units' by Peter Seymour also come with the car. This reliable and VSCC-eligible MG-Morris Oxford Super Sport Special is ready for anything, whether it be a peaceful cruise around the country roads on the weekend or tackling a sodden assault course on a rainy day!
