Seven Mesopotamian Seals, III-II millennium BC.Stone.Measurements: between 1 and 3 cm.Lot formed by seven Mesopotamian seals, four of them in cylindrical model and the rest coin or oval type. They have different motifs carved in relief. They have a central hole that allows to thread it or to pass a string to be able to roll it easily on the clay and thus to stamp the motif. Seals of this type were very common in ancient Mesopotamia, they were small pieces made of various materials and used as a personal signature. The motifs recessed on their surface were stamped on the clay by rolling the cylinder, for which a ring, a shaft or a string that crossed its axis, trepaned, was used.
