A gold George 1st laureate head quarter-guinea, dated 1718 ' the only year this lovely little coin was minted in this reign (1714-27). A good clear legend, Some wear on the wreath but still grades about very fine. The rim is in excellent condition, but there is a suggestion of a mark above the date (see final photo).
A Celtic gold stater struck in Britain, circa 65 B.C., uniface, ABC 488, in good fine grade ' with a couple of edge marks to the plain reverse but excellent detail on three-quarters of the obverse. Slightly curved flan. There are two photos of both sides of the coin to offer different perspectives. Viewing recommended, where possible.
A very nice example of a Celtic Dynasty gold stater ' Commius (mid to late 1st century B.C.) ' and one of the first inscribed staters to appear in Britain. Devolved head r. R. triple-tailed horse r., COMMIOS below. ABC 1022. Good fine. Photographs 3 & 4 show the coin from different angles, but viewing recommended to better appreciate this lovely coin.

A PAIR OF JAPANESE CLOISONNE VASES MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY The baluster bodies with elongated necks and raised on short circular feet, decorated with an abundance of flowerheads and medallions enclosing depictions of blossoms and butterflies, on a ground of shippo-tsunagi coin-shaped patterns, with bands of spirals, scales, scrolling tendrils and chrysanthemums, both 24.6cm. A black grossgrain gem set evening clutch bag, c.1930,by Odette of Alexandria, Egypt. The gathered grossgrain clutch with a matching wrist strap and gilt metal clasp, hand engraved with a foliate pattern, and a pressure fit rectangular clasp, claw set with a carved and pierced jadeite plaque with a border of freeform cabochon rubies, opening to reveal a concealed mirror and pierced palm trees. A cabochon ruby and a cabochon set at each end, signed to the interior clasp 'Odette, 93 rue Fouad, Alex' with a silk coin purse and mirror to the black silk lined interiorCondition report: Some wear to the gilding on the clasp where it has been handled most.Some tarnish to the hasp at each side of the clasp. This should polish off.Natural inclusions and surface reaching inclusions to the gemstones.A few marks to the grossgrain base of the bag if you look closely. Spot dry cleaning may remove them, but overall clean.No wear or damage.
